"My body... something is wrong, but why can't I do anything?"

In a sudden flash, a small shipping freighter would emerge from the darkness of space. However in obvious sight, the ship had seen much better days. Burn marks covered the ship, with several portions of the ship having been blown away from the body. Using the last of it's power, the ship had dropped out of hyperspace within the last known coordinates of the Luminosity, or where the pilot thought it would be. The inside of the vessel however, would be more of a mess then anything. In the cockpit of the ship, laid a few bodies... dead. One with blaster marks in the head and the chest, the other body... a simple slice on the throat. The entire crew had been slaughtered in an assault by what looked like a pirate ambush. However there was a third body laying in the middle of the cargo hold, surrounded as well. However unlike the rest of the ship, this man was still alive. Yet however in very bad shape. His chest suffered several cuts in multiple locations and the man had a large bump on his head; the cause laid next to the man as a pipe became dis-lodged and dropped on his head. However, a very particular item laid in the man's right hand; a lightsaber, still very warm, indicating that it had been recently used. Multiple pirate bodies laid across the cargo hold, yet no where near the man where he laid. Also on the man, was a breathing mask placed over his mouth. Faint breaths could be heard being taken as the man struggled to survive in an environment that was slowly being robbed of life.

The second the ship exited hyperspace, using the last of the reserve power which was strangely activated, would send a message to the Luminosity indicating it needed assistance. Yet any force user that would come close to the ship would sense something strange; a force adapt. Yet, the feeling would be very weak and only the strong-willed would pick up on this sense, while others would only feel a little out of place. However, within seconds of the signal being sent into wild space, the ship would go dark, drifting into wild space.

(( I don't have time at the moment, but I'd be happy to post on this when I get back from work in about 10 hours. ))

Well-rested after the Luminosity's long trip to the Raioballo Sector, Towani was prepared for come what may, and what did come was a badly-damaged freighter broadcasting a distress signal. There was only a single, weak life sign aboard, and some positive readings for organic matter that could be recently-deceased beings. It wouldn't surprise Towani, from the extent of the damage outside the ship—as the stricken freighter came within visual range, the Ithorian noted that its hull was marred with blaster scoring, and whole sections of the vessel had been blown away. Ithorians were slow to come to conclusions, and Towani would pre-judge it as a pirate attack. But either way, whoever it was on that ship needed help.

"Tractor beam, lock onto target. Hold it steady," Towani ordered, then, with one of his long, gaunt fingers, pressed a button on the arm of his command chair to activate the Luminosity's P.A. system. "Attention all Jedi, attention please," he announced, his deep, resounding voice being heard throughout the ship, "This is the Captain. We are holding a badly-damaged freighter in a tractor beam. It is broadcasting a distress signal. I ask any available Jedi to render assistance. I repeat, any available Jedi, please render assistance. I am opening hangar bay doors now." He nodded to one of his bridge crew, who made it so. Inside the Luminosity's hangar bay, the ship's complement of Jedi starfighters would be ready for deployment—spacesuits were also available for any Jedi who wanted to take a closer look into the stricken freighter.

Well before the announcement came across the P.A. system by Captain Towani, Dani had been trying, again, to meditate.  The shallow level of peace that she had reached was ripped away when when a sudden ripple reverberated through the Force from nearby.  It took her a few moments to gather her thoughts and pull herself gracefully to her feet.  She pulled on a jacket over the black halter she wore and then clipped her lightsaber at the belt of her black cargo pants.

As she reached the hangar bay, the announcement came through, not that it would have slowed her down much anyway.  Dani was the first Jedi there, though the crew was already bustling about and preparing the star fighters.  "Get me a suit, would you?"  She asked one of the personnel who was standing in the hangar bay.  He obliged and she pulled the suit on and fastened it closed.  "It's kind of far off for just a simple space jaunt.  I'll take the fighter across and well..."  Dani stopped when she realized that he probably didn't care about her ramblings.  "Thanks."  She said with a simple smile before she climbed up into the cockpit of the star fighter, and sped from the hangar as soon as she was cleared.

A short jaunt was all it took before she made it to the disabled freighter and made her way inside.  In hindsight, bringing backup might have been a good plan, but surely others would catch up as soon as they were able.  The thought left her mind, however, as she made her way through the freighter slowly, trying to use the Force to feel what she had felt earlier.  Someone was there, and hurt, and needed help.

As the tractor beam locked onto the damaged freighter, the ship jolted enough to where another part simply broke off with ease. Time was running short for the sole survivor inside. However as far as Dani was concerned, death would linger in the air. Pain and suffering would also follow as she would proceed deeper into the ship. The inside of the freighter looked more of a warzone as compared to the public viewing outside the ship. Damaged parts, broken lights, marks on the floor; especially marks on the floor. Blood. There would be a trail that would guide her from where she was into the back where the sole man laid. Another sight would be the dead bodies; both of the crew and the pirates that attacked. Their would be a very familiar wound to those that commanded the art of lightsaber combat; an obvious marking that a lightsaber was used in the conflict. Some pirates would be lucky enough to have only their heads missing, but others would bare the misfortune of having a good portion of their limbs sliced off and scattered throughout the ship... this adding to the already horrible smell that lingered. An obvious marking would be a Jedi robe with blaster marks going through it. Eventually as Dani would make her way through the ship, parts of the ceiling would give way and land on the ground with a loud bang. This would be a good indicator that it was time to find whoever was on the ship and get him out quickly; despite the quick reaction time from the Luminosity

Dani was relatively agile, and had no problems weaving her way through the wreckage.  She observed everything that she passed; the damage, the bodies, everything as she made her way deep into the bowels of the ship.  Once she came across the brown wool robes, Dani paused and picked them up, only for a moment before she let the destroyed garment fall from her gloved hand.

The smell didn't bother her, as she was still wearing the oxygen mask and respirator attached with her suit.  The air, what was left of it, seemed like it was thin, which was something she could worry about at a later time.  The further she went, the stronger the Force signature she had felt grew; despite how weak it was to begin with.  The collapsing ceiling started to become a problem, as more and more came down.

When a particularly large chunk collapsed in, Dani flung herself into a doorway to protect herself from getting hit with any more than just some debris.  In that doorway was when she saw Havoc; laying on the floor and barely breathing in the center of the room.  She rushed over and knelt, attempting to assess the damage that had already been done.  Once she noticed the struggle he was having to breathe, she pulled off her own mask and pressed it over his mouth and nose.  "Come on...just take a few deep breaths.  We're going to get you out of here."  Dani said calmly before she used her lithe figure to protect him from some additional falling debris.

"The pain, it dwells greatly... but yet, I feel at peace"

As she would reach Havoc; the soul survivor of what happened aboard the ship, she would notice the cuts covering his body, as well as the large bump on his head and the pipe that left the mark next to him. In his hand would she see the lightsaber, and on his facial expression, would see the man trying to take breaths to little to no avail. The Jedi would continue to struggle gasping for air even with the mask of Dani providing him air. It would be of no use; Havoc had suffered penetrating wounds and unless he was removed effectively off the ship... he would die there.

A crackling of static would be heard over Daniera's comm, followed by a familiar, guttural voice. "Master Jedi, this is Captain Towani. What's the situation? Do you require assistance?" On the bridge, Towani checked the stricken ship's transponder, attempting to identify it and who it belonged to. As he waited for the results, he ran additional scans, determining that that ship's artificial gravity was down, as was life support. Oxygen readings were dangerously low, and for the poor man inside, time was most certainly running out. "Master Jedi," he said again, "We're prepared to pull the ship in if you believe it's structurally secure." It didn't look structurally secure—Towani was afraid that if they pulled the ship in (or rather, what was left of the ship), it might fall apart under the weight of the Luminosity's artificial gravity. But he was willing to chance it if Daneira Farris said so; Towani had long ago learned to trust a Jedi's intuition over his own.

Dani grasped desperately for the comm at her hip, and clicked it on. Despite the static and the crackling. "It's not structurally sound, Captain.  We've got debris falling everywhere in here." She said, though it was likely that between the static and the sounds from things falling made it difficult to hear. "Have a med crew in the hangar bay of the Luminosity on standby, please."  With that, she decided that enough time had been wasted and she snapped the comm back on her belt and took one more glance over the injured man.

"This is probably really going to hurt....." She murmured, though in the back of her mind, she hoped he was barely conscious enough to feel it. He was larger than she, by some degree, so she knew she couldn't carry him for long, if at all.  That fact didn't stop Dani from trying, however, and she managed to pull him into some semblance of a standing position before she half carried/ half dragged him down the corridor.  She was careful to avoid as much debris as possible, but was also trying to move quickly back to her star fighter, which she fast realized was another problem. It was only a one seater.

Once she reached it, she hauled Havoc (with assistance of the Force) up into the cockpit. She leaned over him and secured the harness around him and set the auto-pilot before dropping the hood and dropping back away from the smaller ship. "Captain...he's on his way. Make sure he gets medical attention immediately." Dani said hastily before she went to find her own way off of the floating tomb.

The scan would come back as belonging to a Dantooine company, showing that the ship was recently commissioned by the company to haul cargo from point to point. Additional scans would point out the damages of the ship, showing a small hole as to where an insertion point was made by those that attacked the ship. As Havoc was placed into the ship, his blood would continue to spit out all over the inside of Dani's vessel; covering most of the panels as well as the seat. As far as Dani was concerned, the ship rattled some more as the inside continued to fall apart. However, to her relief, there was one escape pod left; it was ready to go.

Dani wasn't worried about herself so much, as she had been in tight spots before.  Bellassa came to mind, and it darkened her thoughts for only a brief moment.  "If Karth was here...."  She started as she easily dodged more falling debris.  The train of thought dissipated as soon as she saw the active escape pod.  Had she noticed it before, and had she not been half dragging a wounded man, she would have put him in it.  Of course, she would have gone with him, and it would have been easier on his body than when she had hauled him up into the star fighter.

She had picked up his lightsaber, and on her way to the escape pod she picked up the remnants of his robes.  Dani climbed easily into the escape pod and secured the door before jettisoning it into space, so that it could get caught in the tractor beam and she could get back to the Luminosity and check on Havoc.
