I like it, but it strikes me as larger than 60 meters.

I do like pummel beams, though. Even if pummels were annoying as hell in Galactic Battlegrounds. They never once made a difference in any of my battles except to slow down the rest of my forces and make them nice, slow, and easy targets while approaching enemy fortifications. My troops would literally walk in slow motion to keep pace with the pummels. Artillery was a much more sensible way of bringing down walls and other fortifications. But in principle, pummels are neat.

Or even better than artillery: concentrated fire from Juggernauts or AT-ATs.

Not that it ever much mattered, though. Because the AI was shit at building walls in logical places.

"A thing which can break open deflectors for long enough for the ship to get through" is what I mean by pummel.

The deisgn it is ripped off in another scifi lists the craft as 55m long. So 60 is actually longer than it should be. Its just the angle, from some angles airliners like he 747 or A380 look considerably bigger than they are.

There isn't much on the pummel itself as a weapon. Most of the description seems centered on what carries it. However, "Utilizing powerful short-range lasers, pummels were used to grind down enemy defensive fortifications, including walls, antipersonnel turrets, and even localized ground-based shields."

It's a useful idea, I won't dent that. But I don't have much to go off of besides the game mechanics, which, as Jace mentioned, sucked a fat one. So we need to establish how long it takes for one such ship here, to get past shields, for starters.

I also assume that this craft isn't meant to go in alone, from its description. That being said, I assume it has shields?

Well boarding ships in the canon seem to do it almost instantly with Plasma charges etc.

Well, I approve of the design, as is.

Are you sure you don't want to add shields to it?

Yes, mostly just ridiculously strong front deflectors with the sides and rear being an afterthought.

Got it. Shields equal to an ISD, I assume then?

Normally you put something on the main request, is only the reason I'm harping on it. Makes it easier for people to refer to.
