Personality: Strict, regimented, spartan, and by-the-book; he lives his life on a schedule, and hates to see it interrupted, but he remains adaptable. He believes in constant improvement and strict training, no matter the subject. He is uncorruptable, and believes those who fall prey to the practice are weak and undeserving. He believes in the concept that he is his profession, and his livelihood makes him who he is. He lives by a moral code that is black and white, but also grey, allowing him to do what must be done in order to accomplish his tasks.
Background: Raised in the spartan cult which resides within Kor Vella, to a family with intense Republic military connections. The Karaths, having lived their lives for over four-thousand years attempting to repay their debt to the Republic for the treachery of their descendant Saul Karath, were a well-known and notable Republic military family. Since the Ruusan Reformations, they had consistantly served in the Republic Army's remnants, and he was to be no exception.
Enlisting at the age of seventeen, he joined as a scout, and became a reknown sniper, often serving with the Judicial Forces in their direct action missions. After six years of service, and reaching the rank of Master Sergeant, he retired from the Army and joined the Senate Guard, a controversial move among the family which expected him to serve in the Army until at least retirement availability, if not mandatory retirement.
His skills as a soldier were dwarfed in his skills as a Guardsman, with his intelligence and lethality serving him well. Many remarked on his drive for excellence, and natural leadership ability, which distinguished himself from others. After completing the Senate Guard Academy, he was assigned to the Corellia Sector delegation. After a year, he was promoted to Sergeant, then Lieutenant, then Captain, and then Commander, eventually leading the Corellia Sector delegation's security team.
It was no surprise then, when he was given the honor of being appointed Sergeant-at-Arms, in charge of the entire Senate Building detachment of the Senate Guard, including each Senatorial protection team, three years later. At the age of twenty-eight, he was the youngest individual to reach the position.
He has since reformed security procedures at the Senate Building, for the first time in over a century, and has produced a sterling security record. Now committed to cleaning up his assignment of corruption, while maintaining the still unblemished security record his force has built.
