Clothing: Often wears fine-cut clothing of a typical statesman, often with a hoodless cloak, or military-cut suits, when not appearing in his former uniform.
Personality: Holding himself to a high moral code, and a life of purity, he makes a point to hold himself to his military exercise regimen every morning, despite being retired. He also withholds himself from the consumption of any recreational substances, drinking strictly water or tea and keeping himself to a strict diet. He believes in the values of the Republic, and expect all to fulfill and live those values. He is a man of the law, preferring its rule above all else. When he feels he must get the job done, he will often see to it personally.
Background: Born on Duros in the same year of the overthrow of the Jafan dynasty on Naboo and the end of the monarchy on Corellia, he has always felt that he was living in a time of great change and history. Raised in a military family, he joined the Duros Navy at the age of fifteen, attending the Academy of Carida through it's defense officer training program. Commission, he rose quickly through the ranks of the Duros Navy, but in the end, opted to take a leave of absence and join the Republic's Judicial Forces.
Due to his standing as a Planetary Security Force officer, he was commissioned immediately as a Commander, and given command of the Consular-class Space Cruiser Aphelion, which shifted between the transportation of Jedi, Special Tactics Troopers, or Sector Rangers. Despite their role as a transport, his crew was often involved in their missions, and he was known to more than once lead their passengers in their actions.
He was eventually promoted to Captain, and shifted to the command of an Invincible-class Dreadnaught Heavy Cruiser, the Vanguard. He spent downtime constantly drilling his crew to brutal and uncompromising standards, leading to incomparable performance when in action. This performance lead to his quick promotion to Commodore, taking the lead of a task force. He applied the same method to his task force, seeing a marked increase in efficiency and ability among his subordinates. His ability to train, and then apply the improvements to missions, in addition to his brilliant tactical and strategic mind, lead to a quick promotion to Admiral, assigned to run the Judicial Forces in the Outer Rim.
Applying his same leadership and mentality, the improvements that were expected did not come. He sent his first three years of command cleaning up corruption and outing unqualified personnel. Once his cleanup was completed, he finally saw improvement in performance in the Outer Rim. After five total years in command of the Outer Rim, and twenty years of total service in the Judicial Forces, at the age of 35, he was appointed Commandant of the Judicial Forces. His service as Commandant was controversial, as he attempted to apply his enhancements to the entire Judicial Department, only to experience intense political blow-back. Despite controversy, much of it the invention of politicians and media, he proved to be uncompromising and stalwart in his approach and leadership; many looking up to his powerful will and blunt approach.
Despite increasing popularity within the Judicial Forces, his enemies had powerful political allies who were able to force him out of the job after four years. Now 39, he decided to retire from service and return to the Duro Navy, which celebrated him as a living hero, promoting him to Admiral and with his local supporters successfully campaigning for him to be recognized as an Admiral of the Coreworlds.
Despite his continued service in the Duro Navy, as its highest-ranking officer, he could not resist the call of duty to the Republic, and joined the Diplomatic Corps. Despite his blunt and uncompromising leadership in the Judicial Forces, and his strict and disciplinarian military leadership, he showed surprisingly adept in the arts of negotiations; viewing it as a war of words rather than a war of armies. He quickly rose to become an Ambassador of the Republic, and became known for his high success rate, becoming the "closer" of sorts in difficult negotiations.
It was often said that if the Republic had a vested interest in a particular matter, he was always there, which was in many cases enough of an intimidation factor to force a beneficial outcome. Eventually recognized as a statesman of the Republic, he comes to the decision at the age of 50 to run for Duro's seat in the Senate. He wins in a landslide with 65% of the vote, not counting on his intense popularity, and immediately enters the Senate, where he brought with him his reputation and unique political stance. Socially liberal but fiscally conservative, among the top issues he concerned himself with was the rule of law and sentient rights.
In his time in the Senate, on top of his personal focus, he has become known as an advocate for military matters, often calling for an increase of the Judicial Forces, and once even calling for the reinstatement of the Republic Army as a full military force. An unrelenting federalist, he believes that the Republic must strengthen itself, in conjunction with the shift to planetary-based defense, in order to equal itself to its worlds, instead of outright reliance upon its worlds for defense. He is also known as a strong ally of the Jedi.
Considered a "shadow leader" of sorts for the non-humans of the Core Faction, he has become an increasingly vocal critic of the Chancellor, at least compared to his silence for much of Pryce's administration on his opinion of the Chancellor. It is simply only a matter of time before he decides to wage a war of politics for the sake of the Republic.
