This Senate Re-affirms the Citizenship of the inhabitants of Sectors who are historically part of the Republic and remain so in law and under Unification Policy but whom no longer dispatch representation. These often smaller worlds and sectors are confirmed as under the protection of the Republic and any attack or raid on them will be considered an attack on the Republic herself and all nearby Members as well as the Judicial Forces and other Republic aligned groups shall take every measure possible to assure to the security of these Sectors, often small or sparsely inhabited, but not forgotten.

Senator Terrawin, the Republic already acknowledges that sectors, systems and planets that exist as part of the Republic are still part of the Republic, whether or not they have a direct representative, world, system or sector, or even if they go their whole lives without seeing a Judicial. However, I don't see it as necessary to spend the Senate's time and public tax credits into making a new act of it, nor do I countenance that any Republic world might have to send its own troops and ships to die and be destroyed in defense of a world at the expense of their own security. The new law proposed by Senator Ordan ought to deal well enough with equipping the Judicial Forces, as well as giving the Trade Federation their mandate, to protect the out-of-the-way worlds.

Arkania votes against this measure as unnecessary.

I. Chancellor Luneray Kruus of this Galactic Republic support the motion and statement to hearten fearful citizens (It's not an act, just a statement to our Brothers and Sisters across the Galaxy that the Republic will always endeavour to be there for all we can) across the Galaxy in times of urgent need. It does not say any will be compelled to help their fellow citizens.. Although there are laws which do allow certain duly appointed officers to Commandeer local craft in emergencies; this hasn't happened for centuries though as there simply hasn't been such existential threats to large regions as there once were.

In law any military attack on The Republic, its worlds, habitats, ships, citizens etc is an act of war and would be responded to as soon as we have forces available. Either by local forces, Sector forces, The Judicial Forces etc.... I realize few of you ever made a chrono, I once did for a learning experience aged six, and you learn quickly the reason a chronomakers toolbox is huge is because the right tool should be used for the right job and even one size too small can break the whole mechanism. Thus force use as I have stated will always be proportionate, just as it will be swift and efficient if it is Republic Judicial Forces involved. The Republic Sector Rangers as first responders in almost all crises deal with the most small to medium crime on Republic Worlds, and I call upon the senate to give them a round of applause to thank them for their continued service and unwavering loyalty despite many being alone for long periods of time or in dangerous circumstances.

I ask Senator Terrawin to drop the notion of it as law and rather a passionate endorsement of the mutual defense we as a Republic offer eachother from external threats now as we always did fighting enemies as far back as Xim the Despot.

Chancellor Luneray Kruus
