| Supreme Chancellor, delegates of the Senate. As you know, Lorrd recently announced a claim to the planet Drongar and its resources, specifically bota—a powerful, adaptogenic plant with some medicinal and pychotropic properties. The claim was disputed by a delegation of Nikto. The Senators from Alderaan and Alsakan also disputed the claim. The potential for a conflict in the vicinity of Mon Calamari Space was high. With this in mind, and concerns about the safety of bota for commercial distribution in Mon Calamari Space and the worlds of the Perlemian Trade Route (since Lorrd has been portraying bota as a "wonder drug"), the Mon Calamari Council dispatched a force to Drongar to keep the peace, to observe the Lorrdian operations on the planet, and to conduct an independent study of bota. Lorrd and the Nikto delegation accepted the Mon Calamari presence at Drongar.
I am now prepared to announce on behalf of the Mon Calamari Council that bota, due to its highly-mutative nature, cannot be proven to have any lasting medicinal benefits, and since it is far more likely to be misused for its psychotropic properties, is not suitable for commercial distribution. Moreover, Drongar is a near-inhospitable planet; the harvest and transportation of bota is dangerous, and represents a serious disruption to the planet's native ecology. It is also logistically complex. For these reasons, the harvesting of bota is neither safe nor commercially viable, and may be illegal—especially since the Senate has not recognized Lorrd's claim to Drongar under Section 1 of the Act to Govern the Establishment of Colonies.
Mon Calamari joins Alderaan, Alsakan, and others in opposition to Lorrd's claim. I am also prepared to announce that Calamari and Quarren forces on Drongar have evicted the Lorrdians from the planet and taken possession of the Lorrd-built facilities there. It is my belief, and my recommendation to the Chancellor and the Senate, that these facilities be dismantled and Drongar be declared a sanctuary world under Mon Calamari stewardship, to protect Drongar's ecology and the people of Mon Calamari Space from any further exploitation of bota.
I should also add that the emissary of the Nikto delegation, a Mr. Uassa, was suspected of ties to the Hutt Cartel, his ship was impounded and he and his delegation were deported to Nal Hutta. If there is an ancient Nikto claim to Drongar, which is possible, it doesn't appear that anyone among the Nikto today has the legal standing to make that claim today.

| What Senator Finbar states is true. Aside from a few hundred pounds worth of samples that Lorrd preserved for testing, our scientists preserved that the bota was in the process of mutating into a form which renders it inert of any medicinal properties.
Lorrd relinquishes its claim on Drongar; however, Senator Finbar, I would ask that the armored defense platform be returned. Lorrd intends to sell its part in the platform to Argazda, who, under Prime Minister S'nar, helped fund the venture to Drongar. Argazda has expressed a wish to have the platform installed at their world. The processing facility we intend to sell at cost to the first bidder. As for the squadron of R-41 Starchasers, we are donating them to the Ereesus Planetary Security Forces, to help bolster their older craft.

| Dac will of course return Lorrd's property, Senator Lekpin. Or otherwise compensate you for its loss. We can arrange the towing of your platform to Lorrd; whether it's at Lorrd's expense or Dac's is something we can discuss. Your processing facility was erected illegally; it will be dismantled, then returned to you. I hope that Lorrd will appreciate Dac's need to defend its interests and the well-being of its people and that no long-term damage to Dac's relationship with Lorrd will result from this affair.

| Quite understandable, Senator Finbar. No harm, no foul.
I am pleased the situation was resolved without any great issue.

| Well splendid. Then the matter is settled and the area can remain a designated undisturbed area under the Custody of the Mon Calamari Government.
