The Third Galactic Survey Renewal Act
The Third Galactic Survery will be begun anew, to seek out new life and new civilizations, as well as to rediscover those lost to the mists of time and to chart the areas of the Galaxy which still require mapping comprehensively.
Its organization will be rendered under the command of the Interstellar Survey Corps, which shall be under the oversight of the Judicial Forces.
Active survey of known systems shall be undertaken by Sector Rangers and Republic Judicial Forces when time and the security situation allows.
The Trade Federation's Survey Division, who so recently re-mapped the Outer Rim's spacelanes will be the main force used to actually explore unexplored areas. They will have their costs met for doing do and will be considered under Survey Corps command while conducting these operations.
Any other group, world or company may volunteer, and may (at Survey Corps discretion) be taken onboard and utilized as the Trade Federation's Survey Division will be, and have their costs met. However, due to a sheer matter of scale it's unlikely any minor group could prove quite so useful, and so it is possible volunteers may not have their costs met if they're not able to provide the value for money that the TF's economy of scale gives them.
Professional hyperspace scouting groups will also be brought onboard and paid a modest retainer to work for the Survey while they are not on any other conduct.
The Republic will also commission 9 new survey vessels. A competition judged by the Supreme Chancellor shall be held to determine the vessel's details, which should be structurally similar to but modernised versions of the iconic Vaya-class Scout Ship, the winning shipyard will be awarded the contract to produce these craft. These will be put into service within one year.
