two members of of Lorrd's Ruling Houses convicted of criminal negligence, alongside our former Minister of Trade (although one member was, I should note, pardoned), does not reflect on Lorrd's anti-slavery stance or the government as a whole.

Don't they? You're sure about that? Lorrd has never issued a statement of support for the Slavers of the Senex-Juvex?

Quote Roman_Lekpin ()
As many of you know, Lorrd has always stood against the bonds of slavery, having suffered it ourselves. Even distanced from the world of my birth, that spirit still lives on within me, no matter how far I may travel.

Amnesia perhaps? Doesn't a certain letter... from you, Dear Senator Lekpin, to House Hax inviting friendly relations to them?

Remarkable for a man who made a statement saying that sometimes there may be "no second option but slavery"?

"House Hax is always welcome on Lorrd, and perhaps in the future, we might well be able to secure further ties between your worlds and ours. "

Yes.

Senator Lekpin did not disclose that "On Behalf of the Ruling Houses" he demonstrated both Lorrdian awareness of the ostracisim on the Senex-Juvex at the highest levels. But also that the Lorrdian houses welcomed the future business of slavers.

Gentlebeings. Senator Lekpin is a fraud. And I propose the Judicial Corps consider charging him with obstruction of justice in withholding this critical piece of information to the Stark-Lorrd trial. It turns out the rot had spread, this wasn't a mere accident was it Senator Lekpin? An accidental trade deal? You and your Ruling Houses fully endorsed trade despite the status of the Senex-Juvex as slavers. Clearly Lorrd lied its way through the supreme court and tricked it's way into a pardon claiming cupidity.

I hope the force has mercy on Senator Lekpin. For what will his people make of this revelation? Again the ruling houses tied up with slaving, this time directly welcoming slavers to their world... with Senator Lekpin as their mouthpiece.

This man is not suitable to be the head of the Janitorial Department in the Senate, let along the Galactic Republic. A vote for Senator Lekpin is a vote for a Liar, a Bounder and a Cad. Bereft of morals, shame and dignity. This demonstrates he's done nothing but lied since his nomination to the Chancellory, has never been sincere in his condemnation of slavery and has betrayed the ancient traditions of his world.

How long will the Lorrdian people tolerate these Tyrants bringing further shame and slaving allegations to the region? It seems clear to me now why you want a Route to the Thalassians, more potential customers no doubt?

If you wish to have any dignity left Senator Lekpin. Resign from the race and office as Senator. You've betrayed your constituency and the oath of office you took, you're not a suitable candidate for out Chancellor any more than any other reprobate...

I officially once more call for a boycott on all Lorrdian Goods by any morally responsible world. The Alsakan ex-colonies have offered a great deal of support to the notion of barring these goods, and many of the Nothern Dependancies, our traditional friends will likely back us.

No Trade with Lorrd until Lorrd begins to show some morality, sanity or ethics. Further no trade with Alyn Stark's companies, full stop.

And I call upon Senator Kongming to have the character to reject the votes of Slavers and Merchants of Death in this campaign, or it will loose the support of honest, decent, worlds such as Alsakan.

Senator,

A few words from an alleged statement months ago? Really, I urge caution during this time of election and believe any investigation should take place after the election of the new Chancellor. Now Senator Lekpin is out of the running it's not as if this "dirt dishing" has even the slightest relevance to the election at hand.

I don't know enough about Senator Lekpin to cast such wild accusations on the floor of the Senate. I move that this be passed to the Senate Bureau of Investigation after the present election. Which can give it's autonomous and authoritative view and then the Judicial Committee can make any prosecution decision if there's even the need to take it that far.

These are slavers, gentlebeings, slavers. We can't trust their words or their deeds, they are without moral or scruple and I urge strict caution when dealing with their allegations. Did they just release the document out of the goodness of their hearts when they preside over the slaughter and toture of millions? There are wheels within wheels here, and best left out of the election.

Do I have a second to table discussion of this prurient topic until the Election is Complete?

The Trade Federation seconds the motion to table the topic until the election is over. Lorrd is a world which may have it's controversies but we think allegations of this scale really ought to be set aside to allow the election to have the majority of our attention. Perhaps a statement was made in error, typed by the aforementioned inept Trade Minister and Lekpin simply signed it with a mountain of other paperwork, or perhaps this is a Senex-Juvex plot to try and get more trade into the Republic... Who knows. Let us leave these scurrilous and disturbing matters until after we have a new Administration to weigh in on them.
