| Under Section 10, Article 5 of Senate procedures, I am required to obtain the permission of the Senate to move Judicial warships from one Rim to another, and in accordance with this requirement, I am asking the Senate's permission to move the Invincible-class heavy cruiser Jephtha Tarkin from its current station in the Senex-Juvex region to the Seswenna Sector, where it will join the Invincible-class heavy cruiser Tarsus Valorum and the Sundered Veil-class corvettes Dreighton, Censorious Tempest, and Marcellus, and Judicials from the Triton Moons Precinct on a training exercise.

| The Trade Federation votes explicitly and firmly against redeployment of important military assets that help protect the Trade Routes to be used to threaten the Seswenna Sector. We're not tyrants, we're their fellow citizens in a truly Galactic community, and has any law been broken to justify making what can only be described as a hostile act against Eriadu?
We're not petty Gangsters, we're a Galactic Republic and it could be said that deploying forces to threaten a world merely for debating a motion which may be unconstitutional (the unconstitutionality of the motion itself is a matter for lawyers and judges not myself or the Chancellor), I believe our Republic is better than that Chancellor Pryce, I truly do believe it's a society with strong and robust legal mechanisms which do not require the threat of force and so I urge the Chancellor withdraw the motion.
I ask again to the Chancellor, has or its Government Eriadu broken any law? If so, have charges been brought? If not, why not? Is that not what the courts are for?
Does he accept this action is belligerent and only likely to increase the power of hardliners of both sides? instead of sewing moderation through diplomatic intercourse as should have been done long ago, he's only risking further discord, making conflict more likely, making the markets more unstable and raising the costs for everyone as a result.

| Naturally, being en route to debate with these people, I most strongly object to deploying warships to their space. I vote against the deployment of warships to the Eriadu Sector. And may I say I am pleasantly surprised that there is something that I and Senator Cynum agree on.

| The Jephtha Tarkin, its officers, and its crew would benefit from participation in the training exercise in the Seswenna Sector. I assure you it's quite routine, Senator Cynum. No relationship between this training exercise and the events at Eriadu had occurred to me. It seems you're reading too much into this, Prentiss.
I would also argue to Senator Terrawin that it'd be the height of irresponsibility to deny the officers and crew of the Jephtha Tarkin the benefits of participation in this training exercise because of your views on an unrelated political matter.

| I've lost faith in you Chancellor. You are just misleading this Senate now. The eyes of the Galaxy are watching, and you are not just humiliating us but yourself in greater measure.
This is not a matter of training and we're all aware of it. Even my bootblack is aware of it. Even my Kowakian monkey-lizard can see through this facade. Please, I wish to be your supporter, and have ever tried to be so. But you are alienating me and many others with what can only be interpreted as outright lies.

| I'm afraid I can't contend with this alarmist conjecture. Would the gentlebeings be satisfied if the training exercise were moved to the Mayagil Sector? Surely this would avoid whatever appearance you find so unseemly about the exercise. I must add that I am loathe to re-locate a training exercise at the last minute for political reasons, especially when such an exercise would have an economic benefit to the Seswenna Sector. But if it would re-combobulate you Senators, I will do so.

| I can assure the Senate that there is an exercise that has been scheduled for over a year in the Seswenna Sector. Commodore Jiang, who is running the exercise, is requesting the Jeptha Tarkin to add a second heavy capital ship to training missions involved to increase the diversity and variables to the training that is conducted. I fail to see how this is politically motivated. I also warn the Senate that moving the exercise to the Mayagil Sector, will have a detrimental effect to the exercise.

| I am tempted to say that, with such a military force as the Trade Federation has, sending Republic ships on a training exercise should hardly be problematic. Furthermore, the words of Senator Kruus, I find, are troublesome and lacking in the support of the Supreme Chancellor, who is not only backed by Chairman Kongming, but by myself as well I give my permission to this venture.

| I accept Senator Kongming's assurance, but even so, I understand why Senator Kruus is suspicious. It's very coincidental that this fleet exercise is occurring in the Seswenna Sector during a moment of possible crisis in that Sector. Even if it's been scheduled for months, I think it would be wise to postpone it if only so that Governor Tarkin and the people of Eriadu don't see it as a provocation as Senator Kruus did, and not unreasonably so. Nonetheless, I vote in favor because it would be unusual for the Senate to deny a Section 5, Article 10 request from the Chancellor. But I urge restraint.
