| Darwin_Sky : The HWK-290 lightfreighter had been in hyperspace for quite some time now, but they were nearing the end of their destination. The former jedi was in his usual white robes, with the hood up. He leaned his feet carefully onto the console, and crossed his arms. Darwin had a new purpose now, and he probably should have filled Kaylie in way before they took this trip. However, now was good of a time as any. He would turn to look at Kaylie, "Do you know where we're /c/ Darwin_Sky : going?"The force user simply asked, and would anticipate a response from his girlfriend. Kaylie_Wintersshook her head a little. "I have no idea." she never knew until the trip was being close to over, or they were there. Darwin_Sky : The former jediturned his head to look at Kaylie, "We're going to planet MZX33291. It's our new home." He smiled softly at his beautiful girlfriend. Darwin would get his feet off the console and sat up, turning his legs to so he could face her. "I'm in charge of this militia organization called the Freedom Warriors. I had chosen this planet as the new base of operations." Kaylie had known for quite some time now that Darwin left the Jedi to take the matters into /c/ Darwin_Sky : hisown hands to take on the enemies of the Republic. Of course, the former jedi thought his former comrades were too passive. "Now that I have people to lead, our enemies won't know what to hit them." His tone went suddenly from exciting to a calm composure, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before we took this trip. Are you okay with this?" Kaylie_Wintersmade a small noise, like a scoff. "I...guess I don't really have a say in it at this point. So it doesn't matter if I am ok with it." She finally said after a few moments of hesitation. Darwin_Sky : Darwin would reach his hand to gently grabahold of her hand, so that he could rub it gently. "Well, I still want you to be involved." He didn't break gaze with her. The former jedi never told Kaylie how he really felt about her, that he loves her. Sure, he had a tendency to do things without any of her say, but he always wanted to get her involved. Kaylie_Wintersnodded and hesitated for another few minutes. "Yeah, I know you do." She said, though she still felt that at that point, she had no say in the matter. "It's alright...I'm sure it will be a great place to live. Better than the ship all the time." Darwin_Sky : The former jediwould smile and leaned in to kiss Kaylie on the lips, before pulling back. At the same moment, he would hear a beeping come on from the console. He broke his gaze with Kaylie, "We're here." Darwin shifted his legs once again, putting both of his hands on the control. HWK-290 would drop out of hyperspace, and the view of the planet being half-covered in desert, another half in ice. "There. We're on the desert side." The light freighter would begin /c/ Darwin_Sky : makingits way toward the planetary atmosphere. Kaylie_Winters nodded a little after she returned the gentlekiss. "Looks a little like Tatooine." She commented after a moment. Tatooine was her home world, so it felt comfortable at least. For now. Darwin_Sky : The former jediwould continue to move the HWK-290 toward the small, private docking bay inside their new base of operations. Upon getting close, he would have the light freighter enter the docking bay and landed softly. Darwin would get off the chair, and extended his hand for Kaylie to grab ahold of. "Are you ready to see our new home, Kay?" Kaylie_Winterstook his hand. "Sure, I guess." She murmured as she pulled herself up. She would remove her hand from his and grab her jacket before she put it on. Darwin_Sky : Darwin would let goof her hand so she could grab the jacket. Before he got out of the cockpit, he made sure to grab the lightsaber and attach it onto the belt. Then he would walk with Kaylie through the main galley, before walking down the landing ramp. By then, there was a team of militia members moving to stand in a couple lines. One would line up with four soldiers on the right, another with four soldiers on the left. They moved to do a salute, wanting to do a /c/ Darwin_Sky : formalgreeting of both Darwin and Kaylie to be inducted into the Freedom Warriors. "As you were, soldiers." Darwin didn't hesitate to give out his first order at all. He was never one for formal introductions. The former jedi just wanted to get everything ready, to start launching campaigns and to take the fight to the enemies of the Republic. He would escort his girlfriend into the base, leading her down the hallway. Kaylie_Winterslooked at the soldiers warily as she walked down the ramp of the ship. She didn't say anything for the moment, simply followed Dar hesitantly. Her hesitance certainly did not keep her from observing her surroundings best that she could. Darwin_Sky : Darwin would beginto point out which room is which. "Right there's the mess hall." He continued to move down the hallway with Kaylie, "That one's my office." As they moved more, different rooms were being pointed out. Exercise room, firing range, inventory room, et cetera, et cetera. Finally, they would reach the end of the hallway. There was a closed door, the only one out of all the rooms. "This is our bedroom." He shifted his gaze at Kaylie, before opening the /c/ Darwin_Sky : doorfor the lady to see. Kaylie_Wintersnodded and gave a look at everything that he showed her. When they stopped at the bedroom, she looked up at him. "Not much of a house...." She joked a little. It was a military compound. And she almost hoped that when he said home, he meant a home of their own. A home to settle down in. It didn't seem the case, however. Darwin_Sky : The former jediwould chuckle softly at Kaylie, and closed the door after they took a look into the bedroom. "Well, I wanted the men and women under us to feel like we're one of them. So this is one of the ways to do that." Darwin felt that in order to keep that loyalty intact, he would need to act like he was not their superior, but like one of the soldiers. He would lead Kaylie away from the bedroom, and moving into the repair room. "If you're still interested in /c/ Darwin_Sky : fixingstuffs, this is the perfect room for you." The young man smiled gently, showing that he was thinking of Kaylie too. Kaylie_Winters nodded as she followed him and looked at the roomthat he was showing her. "It's just going to take some getting used to, I suppose." She said as she went into the room. Darwin_Sky : Darwin would let her get into the room, "Ihad requested that you get your own spot here in this room, so that you can come in here whenever you need something fixed up." The repair room/garage was rather large so there was plenty of room for her and other mechanics. Kaylie_Winters nodded again. "Thanks Dar....it's thoughtfulof you." She said as she stopped at one of the work benches and picked up a ship component that was laying there. Darwin_Sky : The former jedi would continue to escortKaylie, he wanted her to feel as much at home as possible. Though, some of the time that might not be possible. If the Freedom Warriors were going to take the fight to their supposed enemies, then it's also possible that their adversaries may strike back at some point. Darwin knew that fully well. "You know me. I always think of you, Kay. Even if I don't include you in my decisions sometimes." Kaylie_Wintersturned back to him. "That's part of a relationship though, Dar. It's....including the other person, and not shutting them out." She said as she focused on the broken part in her hands. She used her thumbnail to pry a piece of it open. Darwin_Sky : Darwin nodded at Kaylie, "You have a goodpoint there, Kay. I'll try to involve you more in any of my decisions in the future." He would move to pull a stool, wanting to watch her work on the parts. Kaylie_Wintersjust focused on the part for the moment, uncaring of getting her hands dirty or breaking a nail. She'd never been that kind of girl. But right now, she seemed different, a little moody perhaps. It only took a few minutes, but she fixed the piece in her hands and set it down. Darwin_Sky : The former jediraised his eyebrows when she didn't answer, instead he opted to just watch her fix the parts. When it was done, she had set it down on the table. Darwin would get up, "That looked easy to you. I think our new friends will appreciate you helping out, Kay. Shall we?" He did a hand gesture for Kaylie to come with him, wanting to show her the rest of the base. Kaylie_Wintersnodded again. "Sure." She would grab a shop towel and at least wipe her hands off as they walked. "Yeah they might appreciate help...who knows." She forced a small smile. Darwin_Sky : Darwin would movewith Kaylie out of the garage, moving down the other hallway. The former Jedi would look left and right, seeing men and women walking past the pair. He would wonder whether they would be up to the task, despite their elite training. That thoughts were pushed aside, as his answer would come on their first campaign. Pretty soon, he would need to go back to his office and begin the paperwork. But right now, he wanted nothing more than to spend time /c/ Darwin_Sky : withhis girlfriend. Kaylie_Winters paused for a moment. "If you have stuff to do,go ahead and do it. I can find my way around. Not like I can get too lost in a compound like this." She joked. Darwin_Sky : Darwin shook his head, "I have plenty oftime to prep everything up. Right now, I just want to be with you." The former jedi smiled, and continued to escort her until they reached the end of the base. There was an exit, of which led them to all the obstacle courses his soldiers were performing in. Kaylie_Winters forced a smile and looked out of the exit doorwindow for a few moments. "I could just go unpack. You know how that makes me feel better." Aside from fixing things, she liked her living space to be comfortable and personal, and the room he had showed her was just cold and industrial, like all the others. Darwin_Sky : Darwin nodded, "Alright, you can go spiceour room up. I'll go see about the soldiers." He leaned in for a kiss on the lips, before moving out of the door and watch his soldiers do their training.
