| Amid the excitement and the bustle of the Capitol during an election for Supreme Chancellor, it was easy for a humble protocol droid to go about his business unnoticed. This was true of a shiny, black M-3PO droid on its way to the records room on an important task for Chancellor Pryce on his last day in office. The droid deposited the Chancellor's notes of his recent negotiations with the Cygnus Star Empire for posterity, and also deleted all of the files pertaining to the Chancellor's Fund from the past few days. By now, the fund was empty. But with deposits and transfers being erased from the Senate's records, no one would know what happened to the money. Only the Bank of Aargau would retain a copy, judiciously moved from the bank's Coruscant chapter to Aargau itself, outside of Republic jurisdiction. The Bank of Aargau took good care of its customers.
Having done as it was told, the M-3PO droid shuffled out of the records room in a hurry—after all, it had an appointment to have its memory wiped.
