Kanz Sector News ranked Sector's "least accurate source of news", referred to by Alsakan Freedom Rankings as a "State Journal"
According to a Fact-Checking Organization based on Alsakan the Kanz Sector News is the least accurate source of news in the Kanz Sector.
After their much parodied edition last night in which there was an abandonment of any journalistic independence "Senator Lekpin's generous offer to donate twenty-five percent of every bota harvest directly to Republic medical centers has not gone unnoticed as a great gesture of kindness", a move which has been described by Republic Senators as "a bribe" and a "clear attempt to influence the democratic process"
Last night's disturbing piece did go on to raise questions of Lorrd's recently sanctioned Arms industry said to be in negotiations with "unethical opportunist" (the words of the Encyclopedia Galactica!) merchants of death Czerka Arms, having formerly been proven to have involved themselves in both dealing arms to slavers and even running their own slaving ring on Kashyyyk in the past.
"Thankyou, but no." the response to Lorrd's alleged overtures aimed at expanding the "Lorrdian Satrapy" to include Amaltanna with a statement from their Government that there were "no plans" to Cease.
The Government of Amaltanna this week confirmed it had no plans to give up its rights to its own voice in the Republic by delegating their voice to Lorrd. It's not really a wonder after Lorrd had sanctions slapped on it in the past weeks and is in the midst of a scandal involving their dubious claim of an Outer Rim world. The "Lorrdian Satrapy" is a term which has been used to describe the decadent Lorrdian houses also having hegemony over Lorrd II, Kol Huro and lately it seems Drongar too.
Alyn Stark and Czerka Arms? A Match made in heaven.
Czerka arms is "widely known as a successful, if unscrupulous, corporation. Illegal and unethical revenue-generating practices were tolerated, sometimes encouraged, by its sectoral officers so long as the flow of credits was uninterrupted and word did not leak out."
We can only find it's practices reminiscent of the reputation of Alyn Stark's Lorrd Engineering (currently still on it's last suspension from supplying arms after breaching the Senex-Juvex's trade embargo), while Alyn Stark himself managed to bribe the Supreme Chancellor for a pardon with a "generous donation" to organizations including the "Chancellor's Fund" which is well well known to translate to his back pocket, but no amount of pardons will change the suffering such traders in horrific weaponary do across the Galaxy, both by their dealing of said arms and their total disrespect for justice.
Indeed the aristocrat, resembling many of the more inbred houses (probably originating from the Core worlds!) managed to show himself up even during his pre-trial hearing, showing he didn't understand the concept of not being able to buy the Republic Judicial System when his lawyer offered what was tantamount to a bribe to a Supreme Court Justice during his pre-trial hearing. While he's escaped justice, he's found himself persona-non-grata in sector social circles since with the most elite Philanthropic organization on Argazda issuing a statement "Alyn Stark will no longer be invited to our fund raising events"
A tip for the Republic Judicial Forces; whoever Czerka and Stark would do business with together is certainly up to no good. His total amorality has become apparent, and with Czerka already known as a company without ethics, there may be the sound of wedding bells (or the bells of the funerals of the victims of their despicable trade) tolling.
Nord, Amaltanna, Thovinack, Ayceezee and Argazda host an informal summit in the Argazda System to mull the recent sanctions on Lorrd.
Concern was again raised over the literally criminal level of negligence in the highest echelons of Lorrdian Governance, and to the Lorrdian militarist bent of late.
"Delight" is said to be the Sector's reaction to Alderaan dropping plans to use Jerne as a Naval base according to the official minutes.
Argazda Summit of the "K-5" group of worlds (as they've been branded) raises the question of moving towards having the planet Argazda as the Sector Capital.
