| A squadron of Strikefighters escorted a freighter to the MZX32905 System location on their records of one of the Mecrosa Order's former Sith Associates. The Strikefighters made a patrol loop, unworried since the system was barely a memory. The freighter then gave a set of ancient Sith access codes to what seemed to be an asteroid in the center of the otherwise unremarkable system. The doors of the Asteroid known as Home slid open and revealed it's capacious hangars. The freighter proceeded in and landed, while the strikefighters left, not wanting to draw more attention than was needed. The base was located perfectly for striking again at the fearful Lorrdians, and also a second Vavatch Spire for the Kerubielites. Aboard the freighter were a score of their number and over two hundred different types of repair and cleaning droids, as well as load lifters, astromechs and a plethora of others. The Droids would begin their cleanup as the Sith Cultists would use the ancient map they had gained from the ruins of Ziost to explore the home of Darth Vectivus had now become the home of a group who's evil was just as great. Now this former uninhabited mine had inhabitants. It was a Shadow Post of the Mecrosa Order, of which House Kerubiel had been a member since its inception. They took care to keep on hand miner costumers to be able to act the part on Holo if they got visited, in any case they kept power low and sensors to passive so detection would be hard, even if you were looking.

| In practice, the setup of a base on an assumed abandoned asteroid was a good thing. However, the Kanz Sector was not something that was simply 'unexplored territory.' Not in the least, or so for many years. If anything, the largest of asteroids within an asteroid belt, within a system that was otherwise devoid of life, had already been considered for expansion by others; namely Vigilance Technologies' R&D department, which had led to seeding the asteroid belt with numerous passive probes, largely to test for travelers to and from the system to ensure a remote enough location for a quasi-off-the-books facility, and likewise for the Iron Guard as a training site where they'd have more free roam to assist in the testing of certain Vigilance products, as well as other items they picked up from here and there.
To this end, the Kerubielites apparently believing that nobody else would ever have an interest in such a place, simply went to set up shop. They'd be rudely awakened, though, for when the strike-fighters had departed, a quartet of TL-1200 transports emerged, escorted by a squadron and a half of Cutlass-9 patrol fighters. It was apparent that interlopers were in the system and, seeing as how no 'official' claim existed as to the asteroid, it was likely to be decided via slugfest. Suffice to say, larger vessels of the Iron Guard were not far behind.

| Isn't it meant to be a sith base who's location is unknown, except presumably to a few sith?))

| The Asteroid made no aggressive signal. When the people appeared its control room sent out a sequence of encrypted instructions to the nearby friendly forces and opened up comms to the Vigilance Technologies people.
"Greetings, how can we help you? We are simply seeking to live out a peaceful life here as miners wishing to avoid the attention of the Miners Guild.." would be their friendly remark to the approaching craft. "Who are you? This system was marked on the surveys as uninhabited and unclaimed, can we come to some sort of peaceful arrangement? We presume you have similar status to us, and we would be happy to help you or simply mutually ignore eachother?"
After some seconds of silence. "We don't think youve got an array big enough to jam us on your ships, friends. And if you move to attack us, we'll signal a distress call to the Judicials." and indeed they would, for the Judicial Forces were the arbiters in unclaimed Republic space and attacking squatters without cause was hardly legal. They set up their computer to automatically fire off a high speed low info emergency distress signal if any weapons fire was detected in the system, or the asteroid was approached within 100km by any unknown craft with weapons, or if there was the slightest indication of jamming signals starting up, meaning a call would get out before the jam worked.
The few score Kerubielites present would stow their Cult armour and weaponary (except a few sentinels at all hours) in the many discrete and hard to open hiding places of a Sith hideaway, mostly wearing miners overalls and sometimes even spending time looking at the mining equipment left there in the lower levels and attempting to operate it. Thus, while the Sentinels concealed themselves in the many dark dark places on the Asteroid's warren of tunnels and galleries, anyone just landing in the main hangar (although that'd be difficult until it was opened) would just see some fairly lazy looking miners.
They practiced their cover, but also in the deep crypts practiced their combat techniques with a variety of weapons. The darkness, the mix of different size stone tunnels and pipes a man could easily crawl through spanning the hideout, as well as pillared tombs and mausolea made this the pefect place for Kerubielite weapons and combat ability at close quarters to work best.

| (Out of curiosity, can this go on hold for a but until the Iron Guard request is finished up? That way I'm not whipping out random vessels from my ass to try and make a fair playing field without going full retard, so to speak.)

| (OOC: That could take another six months! I've taken out my military observation on the post and you have an open goal. Since the Iron Guard doesnt even have a ground forces element requested and the ships are looking dicey.
I consent to you using the forces you state to be present without request. Plus a reasonable number of Lorrdian (or Kinyov Province/whoever) Marine troops.)

| Note the Kerubielites being a branch of the Mecrosa Order, a Sith Cult. The reason for their whole poison obsessed sadism really.))

| (As a side note, the Iron Guard are still under request. Jace is aware of this through the multiple times I've contacted him about said request. The only thing that's possibly 'legitimate' about it so far via mention, if we're going to look at it that way, is that each Lorrdian House has a thousand-man 'honor guard.' Technically speaking, neither the Iron Guard nor Kerubiel's forces are completely legitimate because neither have received full approval from management. The use of Cutlass fighters stemmed from the request, in which the Cutlass was asked for. The TL-1200 transport was simply a 'fill-in' ship that seemed moderate enough for the thread.
I would have long since flooded the board with my requests for the specifics of the Iron Guard's ground forces, additional ship, weapon and vehicle designs. Jace has a number of requests to go back over and bless off on; three of which I can think of are mine, and major, offhand. As such, I am asking for this thread to be on hold until some of the requests are cleared up and mine and yours can be properly seen to.
Though I do agree with Jace's curiosity on how the Mecrosa Order being a Sith cult simply gives them access keys to a random Sith fortress that had no tie-ins with the Mecrosa Order.)
