The businessman/vigilante hadn't heard from the IGBC for a few days now. Tremaine was starting to get frustrated about that. Sure, he may have gotten the inheritance from his deceased father. However, the credits he obtained is merely enough to keep the Outer System Manufacturing up and running. He was hoping to obtain the extra credits in order to complete his private agenda: To create a small, private fleet dedicated to the preserverance of the Republic and to combat the external enemies whenever, wherever, and however he perceive as a threat. He needed to find some way to obtain credits, and fast. Obviously, his patience was running out.

Perhaps Jalaila could be of some help? At the moment, Tremaine was inside his personal office of the personal estate that resides in the plains of Telos IV. If he was to make a educated calculation to where his wife was at, she was likely to be doing some work on the unborn baby's new room. From his office, he would casually move out of his "personal den", and headed for the refurbished room.

His tone was fairly soft, but serious. "Hey, love. Are you there?"

Jalaila was indeed in the room that they had chosen for the new baby.  She wasn't working on anything in particular, but she was sitting in a large chair, with her feet up, and was flipping through swatches to pick colors for the contractors that would be doing all of the painting and other work.  She glanced up from the swatch book and then laid it on the arm of the chair before she answered.

"Yeah?  What's going on?"  Jalaila asked as she pulled herself out of the chair.  "Something wrong?"  Of course, nothing had to be wrong, it was just a natural reaction for some reason.  "And since you're here, what do you think about this color?"  She held up a swatch of yellow that had the name 'moonbeam' typed on it.  "It's neutral...and light....I like it."

Tremaine took a step into the room, and looked to see what was going on in the room. He couldn't help but come to a smile when he saw Jalaila rifling through the different colors. When Jalaila got up, he moved ahead so Tremaine could give her one long kiss. Pulling back, he wanted to talk about his situation but it would be put aside. Jalaila wanted to talk about the room, and that was what he would do for her at the moment.

Tremaine was terrible when it comes to making this kind of decisions. The young man was not afraid to admit it, "Uh...that would look good for the room. But you know me. I would say the same for every color. However, you made a point about the color being gender neutral."

She returned the kiss gently and then pulled back and turned her attention back to the color chip. "Moonbeam it is, then." Jalaila said before she laid it aside with a pile of fabric swatches and other things she had chosen.   "Gender neutral is good...I don't want to find out if it's a girl or boy, so decorating in pink or blue is a bad idea."  She commented. Jalaila was unsure if she had told him that she didn't want to find out, but he knew now, and of course she would discuss it with him if he felt differently.

"Anyway, I'm sorry. I know you don't care about picking those things. What did you need to talk to me about? Is there something going on?" She could almost tell that he just needed to talk through something, though she didn't know what.

Tremaine nodded at Jalaila, "Research did say bright colors do have a tendency to lighten moods up. Especially yellow. So that's a plus." The Telosian felt the same way, wanting to keep the gender of the baby a secret. Mainly because he didn't care whether it was a boy or a girl. The young man just wanted to be the best father he can be. "There's no need to apologize. We should talk about our kid no matter whether it is a right time to or a wrong time to. We are a family, and that surpasses all the priorities we have in our lives."

Tremaine felt kinda bad that his strengths did not lie in maternity suffs, like his wife had. However, he quickly cast aide that feelings when Jalaila shifted the subject from the room to himself. The throat was cleared, sensing some dryness but he would get a drink after the talk so he would suck it up for a moment. "Well, I know talking about business isn't exactly your thing, but we're going to be a family so I thought I'd work on communication."

Tremaine moved to rub her stomach gently to see if he could feel the baby moving. "I haven't heard from the IGBC on that loan for a few days now. I need more credits so I can build up a small and private fleet in order to protect the Republic. Any suggestions?" His eyes would meet hers with the very same sparkle he had the day he met his wife.

Jalaila smiled some and handed him the bottle of water she had been sipping from.  She knew Tremaine well enough that she practically knew what he needed and when he needed it.  When he went on and explained his conundrum, she nodded some and let a hand rest on his shoulder as he touched her stomach.  The baby wasn't moving right at the moment, but he would after a few moments.

"I worked for a senator for a long time, Tremaine...that's close enough to business.  And remember, I did take a lot of business classes in university.  I am sure we can come up with something, or we can dip into my trust fund until your loan comes through...which it will."  She said reassuringly to him as she rubbed his upper arm gently.  "These things just take time.  Also...you could speak to the senator that I used to work for and see if she would be willing to back you, or perhaps the King of Naboo...or something like that."

The first thing Tremaine did was grabbing the bottled water from Jalaila, and drank a sip out of it. They have been sharing a lot of things for a long time, even before they married. Perhaps it was one of several ways to show affection for each other. The Telosian would remain silent for a moment, as to wait for their unborn baby to move within the womb. He smiled briefly when it moved.

Tremaine shook his head when Jalaila suggested they dip into her trust fund. "No, I couldn't ask you to do that. If this plan backfires, the Republic would assume I'm starting an illicit organization and the courts would throw me in the jail for trying to incite an unprovoked war with the other enemies when they haven't made a single move." The Telosian would move to kiss her cheeks, "I can't have you tied to this for funding an illicit business front. Besides, I'd rather you put your trust fund toward our kid's future."

"I could try to talk to the Nubians, but they're well known as the advocates of peace. I don't know hoW I am going to be able to convince them to assist me." Despite the tension being there, his wife was able to calm him down a little bit.

Jalaila nodded her understanding and forced a small smile.  "Why not talk to the government and work WITH them instead of doing this in secret? Or maybe I just don't understand.  I would think that being up front with them would make the most sense and keep you from getting into any trouble."  She really maybe didn't understand, because she had been so pre-occupied with fixing up their home and preparing for their childs arrival.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be more help to you...."  Jalaila honestly thought her ideas had been good ones.

Several yellow vessels emerged from hyperspace with no sign of aggression and slid in towards Telos in peace. Praetor Oriel opened his voice communication, putting on his most oily bankers tone "Hello there Telosian Control, we're here from the bank with a delegate here to see Mr Fowlkes of the Outer System Manufacturing. I'm here to come and check your figures and then to see if we can come to an arrangement for mutual profit."

The yellow of the big comfy transport which carried Oriel would glitter its yellow paint shiny and well kept, as it's three escorts orbited around it. This was the most elite protection team any banker could hire and they were now descending to make a perimeter around Tremaine Fowlkes' house so noone could attack the manager present.

Praetor Tyrion Oriel

Tremaine would let out a sigh, and kept his smile composed toward Jalaila. Even with the dilemma he faced with his own business, he was happy with his personal life. The Telosian is loving every moment of his marriage to Jalaila, and was glad a baby is on the way. As he knew Jalaila would be, he was eager to start a family. "Maybe you're right, Jalaila. However, I believe the best person to speak with on this matter is Chancellor Pryce himself or at least one of the Senators that has similar views as he does. I genuinely believe the Chancellor is a good man and probably would be the most reasonable one of all. We have to approach them carefully, for we do not want any misunderstandings from the Republic to brand us as a couple of rogue vigilantes."

He moved to kiss Jalaila's lips once more when he was approached by one of their bodyguards that a delegate from a bank were arriving to meet with him on checking the financials. It was weird to him that a name was not given. However, it had occurred to him that it may be someone from the InterGalactic Banking Clan coming to speak to him about loaning him money to expand his business. Tremaine decided to give a OK to the same bodyguard, of which would be relayed to the Telosian traffic control. One of the soldiers inside the control would reply Praetor Oriel was free to land.

The Telosian could hear the engines of a few ships descending onto the ground around their estates. This was suspicious, but maybe it was one of the most important bankers in IGBC. Nevertheless, he would tell Jalaila to stay inside the house. That moment, he left the still-developing room for the baby and went to grab a team of his bodyguards. Four of them would walk with Tremaine, of which he decided to leave his personal blaster rifle behind as not to be viewed as a threat, outside the large house and waited for the banker to meet with him.
