Exar would speak before taking a drink of water. Times were tough on Dantooine and things weren't looking any better as times went on. With his speech in front him, as well as a few members from the press and not to mention the occupation of the farmers that were so desperate for answers. "Hopefully this answers all..." Exar would think to himself as he put on his reading glasses and begin to read.
"I wish I could give you all better news in regards to our unique situation here on Dantooine. I know that everyone whom put their lives into farming as well as putting their lives into ensuring the best crop produced are suffering from this. My heart aches with you, as our way of life here on this planet is being threatened. However rest assured that help is on the way. The Jedi Order is sending aid in the form of Jedi from across the galaxy to come here and help each and everyone of you, as well as sending them to assist the Khoonda Administration in developing ways to ensure that if this situation ever happened again, that we are better prepared for it. However, as it looks now... I, Exar Ray, Administrator of the Khoonda Administration, take full responsibility for your government's lack of efforts in this matter. As a government, we should be better served to assist you all. However, rest assured that this government will be kicking into high gear to ensure you all are taken care of."
"Fortunately, there is a plan that will be put into effect. Surveying teams will be dispatched to the farms that have suffered during our time and from there, these teams will do exactly what their title says; surveying. Data will be collected and a percentage of crop lost will be reimburse to the family. Rest assured that our 'Rainy Day' fund has more then enough to handle this burden, and once Dantooine's pride and joy get back on track, will we be on the right track again. However, when these teams come out to your site, I only ask that you be honest and upfront with them... and allow them to do their jobs to better serve you and me. Data collected will be placed in a master data log where as a whole, we will be able to see what areas were effected the most and where we need to send the aid."
"However, despite these hard times... we must all be reminded that we are natives of Dantooine; despite the troubles... we must all still be able to work as a team and be a family member to our neighbors. Remember... I may be Administrator... but my door is always open. I have never turned away a citizen and I never plan on doing anything against my policy. I thank you all for your time... thank you."
Walking away, Exar would retreat back into staging room. From there, he would be taken back to the Khoonda Admin. Building to get started on his process.
