Can't flex any more I am afraid. Don't see a 9m craft carrying the kind of firepower you're after. The Y-Wing's armament (except I'm not going there with Proton Rockets) with regard to Ordnance is my absolute maximum for such a small craft. If it was huge I'd be more sympathetic but it's half the length of a lot of fighters used around now.

That is (total inc both pods) 6 Proton Torpedoes or 8 Concussion Missiles or 2 Proton Bombs.

- No mixed loadouts (would get too confusing in the RP).
- You can have a single Buzzer blaster cannon back if it'd cheer you up. Chin mounted forward arc.
- Final offer or I'll have to veto the design for now (maybe one we can come back to another time)

Okay. Bomber is good (editing original would be great)
Fighter looks great.

Last niggle on the Afflictor then you can consider this all Approved.
Can you further clarify what port forward means? At the front of the ship to the left and right? So like mounted starboard of the bow and port of the bow? Or facing sideways?

Okay, for my terminology:

Ventral - underneath
Dorsal - On top
Fore (forward) - front of the ship
Aft (rearward) - back of the ship

So port forward would mean towards the left front side of the ship.

Ok, so forward facing, thats what I needed.

Also just adjust the Proton Rockets to Proton Bombs (think you typoed) and we are done here.

Just making sure you read that over again and check it - 2 Proton Bombs total, one per pod. Still much more firepower than the pods can carry in any other configuration, but with the downside of being slow moving etc with a release speed of circa 50 MGLT meaning you need a close run or a ship with awful point defense to use these effectively.

Be very useful as a raider though, armed like that and just rocking up at an unsuspecting dock.

This is a proton bomb.

This is a proton rocket.

So it is:

3 (three) proton torpedoes per pod
4 (four) concussion missiles per pod
2 (two) proton rockets per pod

As repeatedly stated I would vote to Deny Proton Rockets in this case. They're simply too powerful without enough drawbacks to be deployed in large numbers.

Proton Bombs = Bueno. They move slowly, but hit brutally hard when they do. If you can a few of these impacting an unshielded capital vessel of even moderate size, it's a blasted apart hulk. However, they move circa 50 MGLT (directly in the direction fired (usually below your craft to make the bombing run feel natural like in atmosphere) so unless you're in close (dangerous for bombers) you're unlikely to score a hit.

This is why finding "blind spots" on capital ships is important to allow deployment of heavy weapons like this. The Proton Bomb is vulnerable to flak, kinetic impact or energy weapon hits and can be eliminated with accurate defensive fire unless as mentioned deployed too close to be so effected. I.e. impact in a couple of seconds. Accuracy requires a straight run, further making their use risky.

However, get a ship like an Invincible-class, distract its fire with Snubfighters and then have a pair of squadrons of these assault, unless it was covered by allied fire or fighters it'd be very lucky to avoid being crippled at best destroyed at worst. Clearly this is an extreme situation where the ship has huge blind spots in its defenses, easy bombing runs etc, but there's no reason trained Bombardiers couldn't make a big difference in warfare now like they do later on in the Rebellion era.

They're useful for bombing ground targets etc too.

I'm going to wait for Jace's call on the bomber.

Safe to assume the rest is approved though?
