Senator,

I'm not going to say that you owe your job to me. You were elected Chair of the Judiciary Committee, I didn't appoint you. But I chose not to appoint you or anyone else, so that the Chair of the Judiciary Committee could be elected thus be free of guilt by association with me. I did this for no personal gain whatsoever, and I hope it is a demonstration to you that I'm not as unethical as the SBI, the Coruscant Journal, and Senator Terrawin portray me. You and I worked together on Admiral Oswaldt's confirmation. We worked together on the prosecution of Alyn Stark. I think we can continue working together to strengthen the Judicial Forces, and do many other things for the Republic. But not if Senator Terrawin ousts me as Chancellor on the basis of rumors.

You know me, Senator. And I ask for your support. I'm not offering you anything for it—I'm simply asking.

Yours sincerely,

Jaso Pryce
Senator of Metellos and Supreme Chancellor Emeritus
Chairman of the Internal Activities Committee
Esteemed Member of the Trade Commission

Your Excellency,

We have worked together, and we have had a far easier working relationship than I anticipated, I will admit. Terrawin's move is a miscalculation on his part, and will fail to garner popular support for the simple fact, as you said, it is based upon rumor and opinion, not fact or act. You will have my support in this matter, however I advise that you respond to it with a definite date for the Chancery election and whether or not you will in fact run. The election is already hopelessly off schedule, and would placate your opposition if you are to run; and if not, render a more malleable congress that is focused on the election and not legislation.

(signed)

Zaizhi Kongming
Senator of Duro and the Duro Sector
Chair of the Judiciary Committee

Admiral of the Fleet, Duro Navy
Admiral of the Coreworlds

Former Commandant of the Judicial Forces
