You're both men with a good relationship in place between yourselves and the Techno Union. I'd like to request if you might broker (especially you Chief Sentient Resources Officer Kragg thanks to what I believe to be more likely positive relations between yourself and the Xi Char thanks to you both being, like us Neimoidians, insectoid - no offense Mr Cynum, but we find it easier to understand eachother sometimes when there's a cultural or even biomorphic similarity between two cultures) a proposal with the Xi Char that I've been put in charge of at the Trade Defense Force's Fleet Procurement Division; that of using more droid fighters, that isn't to say Droid piloted fighters, but fighters which are also droids.
We'd like to see what the religious fanatics out on Xi Char can come up with. We've seen some proofs of concept before at trade shows (attached).

Kragg; we'd also like to take a look at some more "elite" models for Droid Fighters hand made with your own excellent Colicoid Creation Nest. Any prototypes of such kicking around? We'd rather have an option similar to Droideka wheras we see these being comparable to cheaper line battle droids.
We're looking at mass orders of these again, likely in the millions. Keep it simple, make it clear that we don't want their beautiful attention to detail to extend to building "perfect" star fighters. We just want a rough and ready Droid Starfighter. I prefer the upper design for it's peaceful look, perhaps we could keep the weapons discrete as on that vessel, say 2 Energy Torpedo Launchers, 2 Laser Cannons (pop up auto-turret with control oversight from ships computer). No hyperdrive.
We're prepared to investigate Solid Concentrate Slugs as the fuel system so long as they give us more than the half hour the Xi-Char seem to think is adequate, so the thought occurs you could just have more fuel slugs aboard perhaps. Or normal generators would work for us. No preference so long as we can get 12 hours out of these for the longer patrols.
Control system wise we'd like independent and slaved modes available. Must be under 15m wide, 10m long, 5m deep. As we plan to order storage racks on that basis. Because we're picking an aerodynamic design, we expect atmospheric performance to be high, and high speed/maneuverability utilizing the fact droids dont get crushed by tight turns high Gs is essential. Perhaps the option on the independent model for carrying 1-2 sentients, to use as short range lighters.
Strong hull is a must. Cheapest possible shields though. It's going to be used to overwhelm an enemy with numbers so I'm not awfully bothered about losing a unit. Unit cost should vary by option but the Directorate discussed the figure of 5-7 k for a basic slaved version, and upto 15k for more sophisticated versions.
So long as we can get the project done quickly and get the prototypes out and inspected. I'd place an order for say, 1,000,000 units, once due diligence is done etc.
