I'm sure you've noticed there are elements in the Senate and the Republic bureaucracy that are determined to bring me down. There's an election coming and I need to know who's with me and who's against me. I sense that I'm losing the support of the Trade Federation. I know that Druckenwell is a Trade Federation world, but you've always been your own man, Ryuun. I need your help, and I think you need mine to defeat the bill that Prentiss proposed today. But I need to know—can I count on your support in the coming election?

| Chancellor Pryce,
You must understand that Druckenwell is a loosely-affiliated Trade Federation world. Much of what Prentiss put forth in the bill goes against Druckenwellian standards of living, governing and overall, the government of Druckenwell fears what might come about by handing all the reins over to the Trade Federation. The problem though, Chancellor, is that you've come across... lax... on a number of matters, including this repulsive Hutt who now controls the Cygnus Star Empire.
If you can strengthen your position and garner additional support, I'd be more willing to lend a hand to you. However, for now, I am a supporter, if a quiet one.

"Lax"? Ryuun, do you know why the Trade Federation leaked that bantha shit story about the Chancellor's Fund in the first place? It's because they didn't think I was useful to them anymore. And maybe that bastard Cynum is right—maybe I can't get his bills passed. But I can get them defeated and he's about to find that out. I'll show him who's "lax." And I want you to pay attention too, Ryuun. I'm doing Druckenwell a favor here and I need you to be there for me come election time. A "quiet supporter"? That's fine. I don't need friends, just votes.

There's no need for a cold shoulder here. Obviously the Trade Federation has their own agenda, which I can tell you I am not privy to. I am just as vulnerable to the Trade Federation in my own way as you are. Fortunately, the powerhouse of Coruscant separates you from certain aspects of them, while my home of Druckenwell protects me to a much lesser degree. Nonetheless, I will do what I can.
