Order specification: A multi-role ship to intimidate Outer Rim threats to the Republic. Bulk and visibility of the implied threat (i.e. how imposing it looks) should be considered greater considerations than quibbling over technical details.
It doesn't need to be fast, so don't focus on this, just a big clunking fist will do the job nicely. Naturally I don't need it to be able to hold anything in the way of landing forces as Alderaan does not invade anybody and doesn't intend to.
