Now available in over forty million systems!

LORRD CITY- The beginning of a major deal came to fruition today, when Senator Roman Lekpin of Lorrd signed an expansive trade route deal, brokering a little known 'back route' through several sectors. Including the worlds of Mentanar Vosk (Nijune Sector), Kabieroun (Nijune Sector), the Vannan (Nijune Sector), Kauron (Meram Sector), Thalassia (Meram Sector) and terminating in Praadost II (Nembus Sector) directly on the Hydian Way. "This has been a quiet project between myself, several other worlds in the Kanz Sector, and the leaders of [the aforementioned worlds]. We've all come a very long way, putting aside a multitude of differences for this, and we expect it to pay off well." The newly christened 'Lorrd-Praadost trade route' is expected to greatly benefit the inhabitants of the worlds along the route, along with the outlying worlds that were forced to pay much heavier costs to ship longer distance to the Axxila-Tangrene Hyperlane or the Veragi Trade Route. In addition, the Lorrd-Praadost Trade Route runs close to the Daranc Run, allowing for increased trade flow through the sectors it runs through.

"This was a very difficult deal to work," Senator Lekpin went on to say in a press conference. "The people of Vannan, known for their expensive and hard-to-find Vannan crystals, were exceptionally happy to be a part of this; they've been attempting to stamp out black market profiteering of Vannan crystals for some time now, and it is our combined hope that this trade route will make getting their goods to market much easier." The route wasn't without its issues, though. The government of Thalassia requested assistance from all worlds along the route in stamping out their slaver issue as much as possible. With Lorrd being at the forefront of anti-slavery campaigns, it is expected that it will contribute greatly towards these efforts. More interestingly, perhaps, is the rumor of a 'Rim Security Force' in the making, by a number of planets. While no certain facts can be confirmed, it is widely speculated that a combination of lack of Judicial Forces in the Outer Rim along with certain worlds' dislike of Trade Federation policies and heavy-handed use of their trade status, may lead to a coalition of worlds contributing ships and forces towards a central 'pool' for the defense of the Outer Rim worlds. Whether or not this is simply rumor or fact is yet to be seen.

DRONGAR- Issues escalated at Drongar recently, with the appearance of an armed Nikto strike force that faced off against combined Kanz Sector vessels above the world. Drongar, recently brought to light for its incredibly useful plant, bota, has raised issues not only with the Nikto, but in the Senate as well. Fortunately, vessels representing Mon Calamari are on-site and attempting to defuse the situation before it grows worse. Drongar, recently claimed by Lorrd for annexation in the Republic, has been contested by the Nikto, despite no valid Republic claim made on the world. Notable among voices in the Senate arguing against an annexation is Luneray Kruus (Sen. Humbarine), who views Drongar as a world outside of the Republic's scope of influence and "far distant from [the Republic's] borders to patrol effectively," and advocated that "seeking at least the consent of the Hutt Grand Council would be wise before exploiting the discovery of their fief."

Senator Lekpin has argued that the benefits of bringing Drongar into the Republic far outweigh the disadvantages. "Bota is a miracle cure," he said at a recent press conference. "Smashbone fever, long thought incurable, has been shown to react favorably to bota. There are a thousand and one uses for this drug, and it has shown no negative side effects across a wide variety of volunteer testing." While the result is yet to be seen, Senator Lekpin's generous offer to donate twenty-five percent of every bota harvest directly to Republic medical centers has not gone unnoticed as a great gesture of kindness.

QATAMER- New speculation has arisen of the possibility of a deal between Stark Unified Defense and Czerka Arms. While details are not yet clear, it is noted that both companies have had recent bouts of a questionable nature. Stark Unified Defense's subsidiary, Lorrd Engineering, was implicated in a breach of trade agreements with the Senex-Juvex Sector. While Stark Unified Defense was acquitted of any criminal or civil activity, it's owner, Lord Alyn Stark, was convicted of several charges, later commuted by Supreme Chancellor Jaso Pryce. Czerka Arms, known for its numerous weapons, has also had elements of trouble in its past. A high point was being a known supplier to the Sith Empire while based on Korriban, roughly a thousand years ago. However, Czerka was also responsible in part for the reconstruction of Telos IV in later years. In present day, Czerka Arms has the honor of being the third-largest weapon supplier, superseded only by BlasTech and Merr-Sonn, and its products, including the manufacture of non-blaster personal weapons and non-standard munitions, such as flame projectors, vibroblades, and slugthrowers, have found niche-markets galaxy-wide.

((OOC: The following parts in this arrticle need a request. And should be considered vioid (or the article just fiction) until approved.

1. The Establishment of a hitherto unknown safe and stable hyperlane is extremely rare and not something that happens overnight, certainly not through regions which largely contain empty star systems... If you go through these systems, please go and read requested worlds sources and background data (it's all viewable online) - Make sure you don't miss anything big. But I'll explain why it wouldn't happen canonically on the request.

2. NPCing a large selection of worlds just to have them have non-specific differences with the Trade Federation .to further... someone's disputewith them? I don't know who's having the dispute but theres been np RP of them falling out. So I'd prefer not to have un played out disputes effect it please. If you want to have it happen, at least request it so there's some logic out there.
