| The Alderaan Fleet Auxiliary, Civil Territorial Defense Force
This fleet wouldn't be deployed away from Alderaan due to it being composed of local volunteers and was only permitted by the Crown on the condition its charter mandate it remain within the core. Due to Alderaan's military often being committed elsewhere, raisin this Militia Planetary Defense element using public fear of an atrocity like Duro happening to Alderaan the beautiful. The force would be funded by public subscription and crewed by reservist volunteers and droids borrowed from the navy, they are fortunately lead by officers from the Alderaan Royal Civil Navy, however, generally a posting to the Territorial Force is regarded as either a sign of ineptitude, the result of a public blunder or simply the result of bad luck, so their officers, while competent, are hardly "Alderaan's finest".

| Its a militia yes. It will probably dissolve in a few months and the ships be sold or mothballed once the fear is reduced.

Alderaan has an already not-inconsiderable fleet, listed here:
Quote 1x Endurance-class heavy cruiser
3x Thranta-class war cruisers
9x Alderaan-class war frigates (Alderaanian war frigates)
I know the standing rule has been to have a fleet that can't attack and defend at the same time. Keeping that in mind, do you still want to proceed with this request?

| I think we can give a little leeway to core founders on this. And its not so much their use "in combat" I actually plan, its more the morale effect of people "being able to do something" by serving in a Reserve force. It already has a Golan so can handle itself with the fleet away. A couple of freighters and pirate ships isn't going to be able to stop anything which can threaten the permanent garrison...
My point is its not a credible defensive force in itself. Its a piece which gives us a nice IC reaction to another event

| The request for Alderaan's fleet was just wrapped up a couple weeks ago. I vote to DENY any additional ships for Alderaan at this time. (Unless you want to start subtracting from what you have, but I don't think you do).

| Jace speaks for himself here (obviously), and I was leaning towards the same decision, largely because Alderaan has, arguably, one of the heaviest fleets in play right now.
Sorry man, denied, unless you want to lose some of what Alderaan has.
