Many knew during the Jedi Civil War, Darth Malak was an evil being who sponsored or enacted the deaths of thousands of Jedi. But still he was considered the inferior of Revan. Detesting this, he spent years during him and Revan's subordination to the Sith Emperor saving and preserving his Jedi enemies to drain their blood (or in some darkest cases, he would drain the beings blood himself into his secret vats as they could watch their life bleed out.

Early in his Mastery as a Sith, having been assisted by one of the Sorcerers of Tund's writings on Sith Magic, and seeking a weapon to yet further advance his ability to slaughter Jedi with ease and also strike fears into the hearts of his enemy, he began the production of a sword he envisioned bringing darkness to the Galaxy. Learning of the art of making a Sith Sword, he was a crude artist, and many times failed with his practicess, causing distorted alloys or brittle weapons.

Then he was suggested by one of the Elder Sorcerers that indeed there were many alloys possible, but the human bloodstream was filled with iron, easily made into steel. A figure spoke from the corner of the room he was meeting the Sorcerer in, he never saw the beings face, but he pointed out that blood contained not only Iron, but also Midichlorions, being augmented with the power of the force itself it easily had the ability to deflect lightsabers.

Coming to the logical conclusion from the advice of these two sages, he set about creating his secret vats of blood where he would extract a small amount of iron from each individual Jedi he caught or killed, and took also all the midichlorions which could be medically harvested from their bodies.

There were many failures again, but eventually the Sith worked out that if he were to make a small blade, relatively thick and heavy, that he could bind within it many billions of Midichlorions without the organic material weakening the blade. Thus it was that from the blood of a thousand slaughtered Jedi he created a weapon he simply referred to as a "Rapier" but which was referred to by those throughout history since as "The Rapier of Horror", "The Rapier of Abhorrence" and by many Jedi, just "the Abomination", for within the blade were contained parts of essence of a thousand Jedi, unable to become one with the force totally or indeed depart this plane entirely.

The Abominable Blade was considered by the Sith Emperor a threat to his own position, and found it uncomfortable having it in his presence (as nearly all but the Darkest souled force users do), and even non-force users with average midichlorion counts would feel distress and upset in it's presence. The blade is held in a crude scabbard made of the skin of an alien Jedi Master.

The Blade was taken by the Emperor's thief and buried in the tomb of one of the oldest Lords of the Sith "Adas" on Ziost. So it was that it was sealed in a room and locked with an Aurodium Key which the Sith Emperor kept in his personal treasury. The key was lost after the Empire's fall, until now.

The Abominable Blade thus lay on Ziost for thousands of years, only once did a young Sith around the era of Ruusan come close to exposing it's secrets, but a simple trap in the door killed him before he had the ability to do so. Now with the Antiquary having the Aurodium Key to the vault on Ziost in which this blade is kept, it risks being taken once again. Were the Jedi to capture it, it would be melted down the the midichlorions allowed to disperse. But what horrors could ensue if a Dark Jedi were to master such a weapon?

Thus the Abominable Blade is a Sith Sword of crude manufacture but containing much of the essence of true evil bound into its haemoglobin derived blood.

The Abominable Blade (among it's many names); thought destroyed or lost forever.

It has the following effects on (primarily) Lightside Users but also those Dark siders who aren't truly evil or committed to the Dark side.
- "Hearing a scream inside" - Feeling the pain and sharing the horror of the trapped life force.
- Fear - The blade has been known to kill dozens of Jedi and has passed into legend.
- "An incarnation of evil" while the presence of the weapon within a few meters of the Jedi will cause serious psychological trauma, being stabbed or even touching it will translate the tear in the force it represents into physical pain. Thus to be slashed by the weapon with a minor flesh wound on a Jedi would cause an incredibly severe crippling pain (a pain multiplier of 100x for Lightside users) wheras just touching the blade would cause a sensation (but no physical effects) of burning pain, although disgust and aversion would prevent a Jedi touching such a weapon by choice.

For Force users with an absence of any empathy and indeed those who gain a sadistic enjoyment from cruelty and evil:
- The weapon would enthuse them and cause them to wish to spill yet more blood than usual.
- They would touch the blade and feel the screams of the Midichlorions bound inside, but this would only strengthen their own connection to the dark side.
- When holding the weapon by its pommel they would be touching the blade on two thin strips and such evil figures could use the weapon to channel and increase their force powers though, harvesting the tormented particles of life force's energy for their own use, coming close to doubling the effect of their basic force power abilities and making any force power which causes pain much easier.
- Lust for it's precense; those who enjoy the horror of the blade seek it's presence at all times, knowing they can use it for further butchery. Thus it is unlikely an individual who uses it could lock it away again, it is almost a creeping addiction to the power and suffering the blade can inflict.
- When using it in combat they would feel the blade whispering to them and it might be fickle and distract them or perhaps aid them, but more often than not simply whisper the next event which would happen, improving the combat precognition of force users somewhat.

To normal people
The blade would be a normal blade, however it would instill a feeling of discomfort, unease and eventually nausea and headache.

And I, an antiquarian of the forbidden arts hold the key.. but the key to what I am not sure. Fearing what it might be, I have put it on sale to avoid any risk of harm to myself or attracting the more violent force users to me.

OOC
The Horror Blade is to be the first of a number of "Real World" replicas of items I intend to create for the RP that will be mailed as prizes (if the winner stumps up the relatively cheap surface mail postage at a minimum).

The winner will be either 1. The Jedi who captures the weapon and destroys it, freeing the trapped particles of life force. or 2. The Darkside user who holds the blade in six IRL months time.

Good Hunting.

I APPROVE except for the following characterizations:

Quote The_Antiquarian ()
will cause serious psychological trauma

Quote The_Antiquarian ()
would cause an incredibly severe crippling pain (a pain multiplier of 100x for Lightside users)

I'm all for the principle, but describing it in quite those terms pushes it a bit too far. It's fine for it to be painful to the merest touch and additionally so for Light Side users, but a hundred times more painful, and causing "serious" psychological trauma, is more than I'd approve of for any weapon in the RP.

Well serious but temporary psychological trauma to those not trained to resist such influences.

Forgot to mention a:

"I discovered this item, a mini-cauldron of sorts which I immediately realized from it's weight alone was at least 90% platinum. while I explored the tomb of the Great Sith Overlord Adas and discovered it had largely been looted. I have had it examined by those with knowledge of these things, and it will glow when he blood of a being with a high midichlorion count is poured in, as if burning as a candle flame. Inhaling these vapors is thought to temporarily increase ones connection to the force. This is an item produced by Sith Alchemy in ancient times and possesses a powerful magic which may extend beyond my conjecture. "

A minor increase in force connection while inhaling the fumes of the combusting blood. A non-combat utility for darksiders but with potential use in study or other non-combat darkside abilities.
