Information-
Recognizing a marked lack of carriers available to the greater galaxy in a time where fleets exist around massive dreadnoughts or consist of smaller skirmish craft, Lorrd Engineering has moved to bridge the gap with the Scythe-class carrier. Moving away from the orthodox, if ancient, interior-hangar design, the Scythe opts instead for an exterior dual-hangar design that allows for faster deployment of fighters, as well as recollection. Boasting relatively fast speed and decent hull armor and shielding, the Scythe-class does suffer from light weaponry, largely to stay in line with current regulations and to ensure that the ship does not offer too much firepower to be utilized as an assault craft.

| The image wasn't an issue in prior RP, I'll note. I think it fits nicely, and I'd have to adjust the stats accordingly, because I built the ship off of the image.

| When this ship isn't pictured as a Colonial Battlestar then I'll approve of the design. Its just too well known a Scifi to be taking the major ship from directly as an image. I will continue to propose it be denied until the image is changed.
Here's an image suggestion.
Questions
You say 72 fighters, do they come as standard or requested separately? If standard, which fighters.
It's also ridiculously fast for it's time. I'd like to see the speed cut to 15-20 MGLT,
Also going to have to ask you to revise some of those quadlasers or turbolasers away. I think if its a purpose built carrier at 500m it should either lose something in its anti-capital fire or its anti-fighter fire or it becomes overpowered. So I'd like the weapons balanced toward one or the other (giving it a weakness of some sort). And 20 Quadlasers is a -lot-. Purpose built 600m ships of the era with zero fighters only have 30... I propose 12-15 and maybe 1-2 Dual Turbolaser Turrets.
It can't be a carrier, air defense destroyer and ship of the line at the same time.. Your Battle-Horns, your Dreadnaught-class.. even the Imperial Escort Carrier I based a design on, under 15 MGLT. Unless there's something very special about the engines (that has a disadvantage too) I'd not go over 15 MGLT for a chunky carrier like this.

| I do like the image. I went with it.
I also dropped the speed of the ship to 40 MGLT. It's meant to be fast. Accordingly, though, I dropped the hull rating by 400 RU, down from 900 to 500, reflecting that as a lighter ship, it's less armored.
Twenty quad lasers and eight light turbolaser cannons (cut down from dual light turbolaser cannons) is sufficient, I feel, for a ship of this length that is already going to require escort in any sort of a warzone. However, barring an escort, it's armaments allow it to enter a system quickly, disperse fighters and escape. It has no real defense against a large enough fighter swarm (such as the Lucrehulk can provide), or against a handful of corvettes.
As such, with largely defensive armaments (which are reduced in number, now) and reduced speed, it ought to conform better.

| I'll settle at 25 MGLT and thats my final offer. Still can then outrun most line ships of the period. Thats still twice the speed of an Imperial Escort Carrier in a hundred years...
