| Shortly after Senator Kragg's admittance. Chancellor Kruus would ascend the podium and request Senator Kragg take the floor.
Senator Kragg is a complex being who has always struck me as having a gift for being able to manage people in a variety of different situations and help achieve a positive outcome for the organization serves. He is not a being who commands the physical respect of nearly all the Chamber, has been impartial from debate so far and has an excellent knowledge of procedure. I do not doubt his background in sentient resources will also help this critical task in our democracy.
There is no candidate in this chamber more sincere, more honest or more scrupulous. I thus invite Senator Kragg to come and transfer over to my Podium and take this staff of office he held it up reverently befoe the beings of the Senate, before holding it out to Kragg as he approached the podium. "If you accept this most solemn appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the Galactic Republic and Vice Chair of the Senate, I bid you take this staff and carry it as a symbol of the weighty office vested in you."
