| The Trade Commission shall have it's purview expanded somewhat in order to take on the work of various defunct or inefficient departments of the Galactic Republic. The following organizations shall be considered subsidiary to the Trade Commission, which already mediates most trade disputes, thus it is logical they should have the administrative function of operating the areas which directly pertain to their primary duty.
The Trade Commission will consist of the Head of the Trade Commission and as many subordinate members as may be thought appropriate. The Head of the Trade Commission will rotate annually between members going from most senior to most junior.
The Trade Commission may be recalled by the Supreme Chancellor, or it's decisions nullified if they are found to be inappropriate.
The Trade Commission will vote on all matters set before it. The Head of the Commission will have a casting vote in the event of a tie. Simple majority will be required to make decisions or rulings.
Trade Commission current responsibilities
Arbitrating and ruling in Trade Disputes where parties request their opinion, or the Senate, or Supreme Chancellor, refers a Trade Dispute to the Commission.
Fostering Galactic Trade Standards and Industry Standards.
Promoting trade within the Republic.
A variety of minor duties concerning permits and licensing in cooperation with the BoSS etc
Expanded Responsibilites
Senate Committee on New World Discovery and Exploration (to be a non-Senatorial sub-committee appointed by and from the Trade Commission, consisting of three members who will help advise on policy regarding Exploration/New World Discovery and will give recommendations to the Trade Commission on particular claims if controversy arises), the Trade Commission will vote on the outcome of any given dispute.

The Republic Resource Management Council - Advising the Republic on the distribution and use of resources.
