Is Prince Ordan not the son of a King and/or Queen? Did he give the title to himself? I am not sure I understand your confusion on the matter. And furthermore, what burden does the way our planet is run bring to holding a position in this Senate? I am merely curious, of course. I was under the impression that this inquiry was to find out what our beliefs and positions on galactic matters were, not to pick apart our choice of planetary governance.

That aside, yes, it is a monarchy which is ruled by a king, and he does have a council that he consults with. He also has a wife and two sons, if that satisfies your curiosity, Senator?

On Alderaaan the Supreme Sovereign is the Crown Prince, also styled Prince Regent.

Can I ask for the details on your government's balance of powers please? Is it an absolute monarchy (where the Monarch holds Sovereignty?) or do you have a "bottom-up" system where you believe the People are Sovereign?

Since the Government is a King what's his name? (or her if she's a Queen..) how many years have they ruled for, what sort of economic, diplomatic and military goals have they pursued?

Is there separation of powers?

His Most Royal and Secular Majesty Henrik III
By the Providence of the Universe, of the Sovereign World of Alderaan, of Avirandel, Delaya, Avishan and Raisa and of His other Realms and Territories, Prince-Regent. Head of the Alderaaan Sector Commonwealth, Defender of Secularism and Steward of the Commenor Run. &c
Representative of Alderaan in the Galactic Senate.
King of the Grizmallt System
Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee

My apologies, I was unaware that I did not answer the question to your specifications.

Ours is an absolute monarchy.  King Kellan Bach has ruled Empress Teta for nearly 35 years now, and we are in the throes of planning an anniversary ball on his behalf.  Our economic goals center largely around Carbonite, obviously, and it has kept Empress Teta in good standing.  We also have minor exports of small spacecraft from Koros Shipyards, and numerous other goods throughout the system.  Too many to name, I am afraid.  That being said, we do not really feel the need to expand, economically, at this time, though new imports would possibly be welcomed.

Diplomatically speaking, the King has expressed his wishes to open new channels along the rim worlds, for potential new allies.  Finally, the Tetan fleet is quite substantial, but they generally stay at home...more often than not.

Is that sufficient, Your Highness?

I have no doubt that the Senator from Lantillies is referring to the Mandalorian people, Ms. D'Marko. Senator Tu'rot so cherishes his hatred of the Mandalorians of history books that he refuses to accept, despite centuries of peaceful co-existence with the Republic, that my people have sincerely put their warrior ways behind them. I'm afraid the good Senator is quite determined not to change his small and prejudiced mind. I would ask Ms. D'Marko simply to bear in mind that shouting something doesn't make it true, and that I represent in this Senate the Mandalorian people's love of peace, not war. Pacifism is to Mandalore what decibels are to Senator Tu'rot, and I hope that one day he can accept this fact.

Duke of Kalevala, New Mandalore, and the New Mandalorian Territories
Duly-appointed Mand'alor ("leader") of the Mandalorian People

I really feel like we should drop Koros down to an Allied Region and promote Mandalore toa real full Member who isn't eqquivocating about their system of Government. Nothing shocks me anymore.

I am not entirely sure what you are implying, Mr. Terrawin. I answered the questions that the Crown Prince had. Did I miss something?

Oh...because I did not answer in a timely enough fashion for Mr. Terrawin. I see.  Personally, Mr. Terrawin, if the Mandolorian people are as peaceful as some are indicating, we should all be happy to welcome them into the Republic with open arms.  Is that something that you believe also?

Mr. Kruus,

Our monarchy does not prohibit or hinder fair living and sentient rights in any way.  Our people pay taxes and are free to work towards their own goals and/or wealth.  They can aspire to be elected into certain government positions, and elect others into those positions should they choose.  None are kept as slaves or in any kind of bondage on Empress Teta.  If that does not satiate your curiosity, Senator, I am sure that the Republic Embassay on Empress Teta would be happy to comment further.
