| You have the floor to speak your piece, and your time to speak your piece and cast your vote... If any cogent matters require further debate then I will open it up fully. However, state your piece if you please.
In future, please do not wait until after the passage of a bill to take an interest in it, especially simply because the Senate Parliamentarian made some language and clarification corrections that have no bearing on the laws scope, bearing, etc.

| Quote Chancellor_Kruus ( ) 4. The Chancellory may declare independent or paramilitary forces as "Renegades" in the event a group is dangerous. This gives all Republic Planetary Defense Forces, Judicial Forces and the TDF to use force to arrest or destroy them. Individual leaders or suppliers of dangerous groups may also be declared "Dangerous Individuals" which will constitute a warrant for their arrest by any state or private police or military force.
Thank you, Chancellor.
Now, I will have to state that Lorrd votes against this measure until the following item is altered:
While it is understandable that the Chancellor have the right to declare rogue paramilitary forces as renegades, it should require a Senate vote as to decide whether an independent or paramilitary force is 'rogue' or 'renegade.' Furthermore, while Republic planetary defense forces and, most certainly, Judicial Forces should be allowed to do all in their power to arrest, detain or otherwise destroy said groups, I believe the Trade Defense Forces should be excluded from this wording. The TDF already serve as a private military to the Trade Federation, to protect their freighters from pirates and raiders. While I do not deny their effectiveness in this regard, nor do I overlook that the TDF has been known to work closely with the Judicial Forces, their assets are spread across the galaxy, protecting trade routes and their vessels. As well, if TDF assistance is required, it should be left to the Judicial Forces to ask for it, and not for the TDF to simply initiate on their own right.

| The Judiciary Commitee finds the document to meet it's requirements and supports itself having both a role alongside the Judiciary in removing this status as regulating it's application. Could I ask the reason for Senator Lekpin's hate of the TDF? It's the main patrol force across all the Major Hyperlanes and most small routes in and out of Republic Space and already acts as law enforcement against pirates, does it not?
So as the most Junior Member of my Committee, why would the TDF (or other suitably equipped Private Security forces) pursuing brigands be any different to pirates?

| If I hated the TDF, you'd be the first to know, Ordan. I'm simply acting to prevent too much power from being handed to any private military.
However, since the Chancellor has amended the bill, Lorrd votes in favor.
