| A conflict over a trade route. A damned proposed trade route at that! One of the many sudden grievances the Argazdan Prime Minister had rattled off at a press conference some week or three back. And for what? Because the start of the proposed route was at Lorrd? It had escalated from there. S'nar had complained that Argazda hadn't benefited enough from the move for Drongar, even though Argazda had ended up with a nice, new defense platform. Was it enough? No! Argazda wanted more, according to the press release. Some of the intermarried Lorrdian Houses with cousins and relations on Argazda had been pushing for a more equal status amongst the wider trade routes such as Lorrd had. No favoritism here, but how could Lorrd help it if the Ruling Houses had their hands in a lot of businesses on the Outer Rim?
Alyn Stark was considering the matter from a datapad, on board ship. Sometimes, he did his best thinking above Lorrd rather than on it. There was going to have to be a meeting at some point before this became a full-blown armed conflict. It wasn't that Lorrd couldn't afford a conflict with Argazda; they outnumbered and outgunned the Argazdans by a good bit. However, the publicity would be terrible and with families joined on both sides, it would end up as a PR nightmare.
Rubbing his brow, he set to the task of unraveling the demands of the Prime Minister as best he could.
