Kerethon, being interested in the Medical utility of Bota as a Jedi Consular had got his hands on a small quantity of the substance and took it down to the Jedi Analysis Labs. He took from his pocket the two phials of fresh of Bota he had managed to buy and handed it one the droid.

Having a burn on his arm from using the forge to work on his latest Force imbued item, he thought it wouldn't hurt to investigate himself the uses of the substance and while he waited for the Jedi analyst droids to go about their work he held back a small quantity of it. He removed the burn's dressing which revealed the small burn, he placed the Bota on it and redressed the wound, this would allow effective mucosal absorption of the Bota through the area where skin had been burned away leaving flesh below.

It would wait to be seen what effects occurred.

(( Sorry to butt in, but small OOC note here. They are pretty clear as of the events of MedStar I: Battle Surgeon and MedStar II: Jedi Healer, that Barriss Offee was the only Jedi, up to that date, to use bota. Its effects on Jedi weren't widely known (she was the first, it seems), but more about Jedi and bota dealings can be found here, in the backstory of the droid, I-5YQ, if there are any questions. ))

OOC: The world also didn't have the numerous Lorrdian facilities you're hoping to have there. The world also wasn't really known in this period and certainly wasn't being exploited by a Republic world. And "so far as we know" they were the first to try it "so far as they knew" is probably key here. Kerethon's use can easily have got swept under the carpet and helps explain a continuity to the canon state of affairs.. Insofar as you introduce a little known substance to the wider awareness of the Galaxy early, it's not at all unreasonable for a Jedi too to have tried it early))

(( There are certain things we bend in canon. There are some things that are clearly stated otherwise. If you'd like, you and I can go back over everything in the RP to date and throw out everything non-canon. Unfortunately, I think we'd all lose a lot of things. Certain things, however, are too large (such as the Jedi effects of bota), and I feel would disrupt the balance of the RP. If your wish is to see 'super-duper Jedi and darksiders' having battles that wrack entire worlds and doing superhuman feats and moves and powers (which would likely be the result), that is your particular sphere. I do not believe the intent of bringing it up was for the Jedi to ever become involved with it (a common sense item I see was not so common at all).

However, we will put this thread (and your request) on hold, until such time as we can both confer with Jace (as the administrator) about it. ))
