"Not subtle," Kane remarked as he watched the hole open up in the wall. "Still, it's better than nothing." Krax advanced slightly ahead of Kane, but Kane did follow. "Two is better than one, Krax," Kane admonished him. "Remember, we need to search for the aurodium key. You can keep whatever else you want from this place, but the key goes to Lord Novak."

Now that the mission was in full swing, Kane's blood was pumping. Still, something told him it would be better if they didn't linger here.

The Antiquarian had not left his defense completely to chance and suddenly what had been a statue in all appearances, turned out to be just coated in a thin eggshell of duracrete which it shook off in an uncomfortably organic movement. The Ancient Czerka Mk1 Assault Droid which had for so long appeared to be a statue turned and leveled it's blasters at both Krax and his companion "Drop your weapons, you are trespassing on private land!" it exclaimed in a petulant pre-recording. It leveled it's blaster cannons, both on Kane... a bit of a standoff presented itself... how useful that concussion rifle would be now.. but it was an old droid, its servos while clearly well maintained were sluggish and its armor had no saber resistant properties.

The distinctive rattling of a Droideka clicking its way along a corridor could be heard within the house. As yet of unknown series, it was at least as severe a threat to the Blackguard as the Assault Droid.

An Antiquarian and Trader in Goods linked to the Forbidden Arts, naturally I ply my trade outside the Republic on the still Independent Desevro in a darkly lit ghoulish house,

Ignoring the statue becoming a droid behind him, Krax would draw his Lightsaber and enter into the house heading for the Droideka rattle. Ultimately the Ravager recognised the rattle as being that of a droid or something threatening anyhow. His Lightsaber was in his hand and activated as he went into the darkness of the house's interior. Feeling out with the force using his combat precognition he slid around a corner into the entrance hall of the house... And stood prepared to await the droid he heard approaching.

The droid, odd as it was to see, was something of an obstacle. There were several things Kane could do, most of which involved lightsabers, acrobatic use of the Force and plenty of jumping, dodging, weaving and deflection of blaster bolts. However, they were all, by and large, inefficient. What Kane did do, however, without much need for gesture, was to reach through the Force and crush both barrels of the droid's weapons directly after it locked on. A half-second later, he activated one of his lightsabers as well. Forty meters away or not, the droid might have additional armament, or extra help, though it did not seem likely. The only real danger the droid possessed now was that if it fired, it was likely to blow itself up.

The droid fired, unaware that both of its blasters were damaged. It was a rather quick process, and the unwary automaton's weapons overheated, overloaded and the droid blew apart in a spray of flame and smoke, it's mechanical pieces scattering across the area. Having raised an arm to shield himself, Kane was pleased to find he was untouched by the debris. He turned and made for the hole in the house, only seconds behind Krax.

Krax was busy picking through things, all to his benefit, no doubt. Kane, however, was drawn to the unconscious Antiquarian. Injecting the fellow with a mild sleep sedative, guaranteed to have him out for a few hours, Kane set to searching and, in little time at all, had located the key. It was neither a fake key nor a fake key imbued with the Force to make it resemble the real key; no, the Force told Dalamar this was the genuine item. Slipping it into a sealed pouch, he returned to the Antiquarian and hefted him onto a shoulder easily.

"Get whatever last bit you want. It's past time to be gone." Breaking into a light jog, Dalamar allowed it to turn into a Force-propelled sprint, easily gaining the hole in the wall and heading back to his ship, all with no sign of authorities on the way.
