| The airspeeder landed on a landing pad near the roof and the bustle of thousands of people a kilometer below could be seen, looking smaller than ants from this height. "Well I am not a man of deep doctrines, I am a mere politician, that is my calling. Perhaps today will show what is your calling?" he gestured to the door of the airspeeder "This humble cathedral of ours by the way is by a long way the biggest man made structure in the rim. In floor space it dwarfs even the Jedi's fortress on Coruscant..."
A pair of heavily armoured guards with heavy vibroglaives with blasters attached slid them stood either side of the blast door into the cathedral. "The Cathedral has the ability to have deflector shields installed and the structure is more solid and durable than most warships. It also has three hundred laser cannon mountings, and in the towers, many turbolasers can be mounted. This place could withstand a siege the like of which no army in existence could break, when equipped with such weapons, easily obtainable from QOM's stockpiles less than ten miles away.."Added (13 December 13, 7:00 AM) --------------------------------------------- "Sir?" said Tarkin taken aback as he waited for Rex to come down the ramp, as he appeared to stare vacantly into the distance. Added (22 January 14, 5:37 PM) --------------------------------------------- "Medical team to Cathedral roof. Where's my doctor?" Tarkin spoke urgently into a small communicator, seeking to cajole some action after Rex stared blankly for such an extended period of time, it was likely an absence seizure... or perhaps a vision? "Look alive lads! I believe Mr Rex is unwell. Mr Rex, can you hear me?"

| Rex had only been staring for perhaps a minute or two; apparently, Tarkin was a man who worried far too much too quickly. "Ease yourself, Governor," Rex said at last after having taken in the splendor. "I was simply admiring the view. It's breathtaking, I must admit. By and far one of the grander sights within Republic space. Still, I digress. Impressive weaponry and defensibility, from a military standpoint. I'm afraid I must take your word on it being fully impregnable; I am not as militaristic in terms of capabilities as I'd like to be. Still, a good plan."
With that, Rex motioned for Tarkin to lead the way to where Rex was destined to speak.

| Behind him, the Arch Lector was when he spoke, giving him a blessing in case he had fallen in in his absence seizure. "You sense then, the need for a Mission, within the Church? The implanting of colonies? The gospel preached from one end of the Galaxy to another? You are surely a man of vision, Mr..?" Sejanus was wearing simple robes and had been sweeping the landing pad, he found simple physical labour relaxed him and it gave him a nicely hermetic view by the people. "Is it not written, keep not your eggs in one basket?"

| "Rex. Gerard Rex, Arch-Lector." Rex recognized the man's face from the briefing Tarkin had shown him earlier. Still, the humble robes would likely confuse most, if they had not the memory for faces that Rex possessed. It was a fortunate trait, and one that helped in business to no small end. "There is always a need for purpose, to seek what it beyond oneself and find a higher calling." Clasping his hands behind his back, Rex studied the high officer of the Church. "Colonies are an adequate beginning. Rather, I would say not colonists, but missionaries. Colonization has had such a negative connotation in a number of regards, especially on already-claimed planets."

| "We do have missionaries. But we havent actually planted colonies yet. If you are the one, the Prophet. Then we could scatter millions of preachers across the human galaxy in days. As for empty places, the problem is that the Freestanding Sectors are empty but building from the roots up means no protection except from the Goddess, so the cost of defense would be crippling for them."

| Rubbing his jaw, Rex considered what the Arch-Lector said. "Fortunately for all of us, Arch-Lector, that not only am I the Prophet, I am also a wealthy businessman. Still, I could not fund such a venture solely on my own. There will be time for a thorough planning and appropriation of funds, though, Arch-Lector. Today is a joyous day! We will have time for numbers later. We should address the people, I believe, lest they grow weary from waiting so long."

| Sejanus would take him down a turbolift which exited in a vestry. A choice of elegant and exqusite jeweled vestments were layed out alongside a staff with the holy eye of the goddess on it in solid gold. "Whichever vestments you wish you may wear, Sire. Through the door on the other side of the room is the pulpit, the microphones will automatically go on.
