Clothing: Naboo Royal Security Forces Security Officer uniform, in addition to the typical clothing of Naboo nobility. He has a preference of the older uniform of the RSF versus the new uniform set to be introduced, and thus wears it accordingly.
Personality: Anything but the ordinary or ideal Naboo, Jaryn is the embodiment of an age long gone from Naboo. While being of noble birth, a member of the family chiefly associated with Naboo's military of long ago, he lives a life not of much grandeur or opulence. He is an extremist at heart, but often moderates his inner beliefs for public exposure. He takes to studying all warfare up to the modern day, looking into tactics and strategy primarily, in order to better prepare himself for the day that war calls. He sees himself as a revolutionary, which must correct Naboo's path for the sake of its survival, and believes himself to be its ultimate patriot; even should he be alone in his revolution or required to die for the sake of Naboo. Despite such unpleasantness, he is a nobleman and gentleman to all he interacts with.
Background: Born in Dee'ja Peak to a notable family of nobles with strong military service to both the Republic and Naboo since de-militarization, he spent his life torn between his father, Kevain, the Captain of the RSF preceding Maris Magneta, in Theed, and his mother, Amis, in Ferentina, as well as his family's estate that still remained in Dee'ja Peak. His parents divorced shortly after the birth of his sister, around the age of four.
Trained from birth to become a soldier by his father, he was raised in the traditions and expectations of the military. His father was always the disciplinarian, with constant drills and punishment always at the ready for the slightest of mistakes. His mother was not of much help either, being self-centered and showing constant favoritism to his sister, Shreé, she had devoted her life to making her relationship with her second husband work, even if it meant sacrificing her own children, which she did at several points.
At the earliest opportunity, he joined the Republic Defense Academy, known also as the Academy at Carida or the Republic Military Academy at Carida. While it was expected of him by his father, he found it to be a reprieve from his family. His sister, however, yearning for his protection from their parents and father-like influence, convinced him to only do a one-year course. Upon returning to Naboo, he enlisted into the Royal Security Forces, and became a Palace Guard. He took guardianship of his sister for her eighteenth year, allowing her to live in his home in Theed. It was not long, however, before he was promoted to Sergeant and given the opportunity to serve with the Royal Crusaders. He delayed the move, however, until his sister had left to an art school in Moenia.
Shortly before the Trade Federation invasion, he moved to the Security Guards. He found the Crusaders, while illustrious and honorable, a stifling area career wise for one on the move, and was quickly promoted to Master Sergeant mere months later when it would have taken him years to do so in the Crusaders. During the Battle of Naboo, he was promoted to Sergeant Major for his service under Captain Zepé, and was part of the diversionary force in the Second Battle of Theed. He led the Commando team that vitally cleared the way into the Theed Hangars and later held off Trade Federation forces from re-entering.
Following the Battle of Naboo, he is promoted to Lieutenant, becoming a Security Officer assigned to the Security Guards. He is placed in charge of the Security Guard Special Tactics Unit, which he had served in at the end of the Battle of Naboo. He drilled and instructed the members of the STU relentlessly, until they were considered perfect in his eyes. Despite his reluctance to admit it, his father would be proud. During this time period, he and his father settled their differences and sought to repair and strengthen their relationship, which has thus far been successful; however, he still remains estranged from his mother.
On the fifth anniversary of the victory over the Trade Federation, he is promoted to Captain and placed in command of the entire Security Guard service. Shortly after, he is also recruited into a secret society, known as the Jafan Society; a conservative, militaristic organization dedicated to undoing the reforms made after the death of Queen Yram and re-establishing a dynastic monarchy as well as forming a full-fledged military force to ensure Naboo independence and dominance, recently becoming the group's leader. Over time, he has become, in public, a strongly rumored figure to replace Panaka, already selecting the Name of State, Taida.
