- Daneira Farris - Daneira (or "Dani," as he prefers to call her) is a close friend of Karth's. Having studied together on occasion in their youth, their first true interaction came during the attempted coup on Bellassa several months ago. The loss of Karth's master hit him hard, and the mistakes made in that fight are still fresh in his memory, Dani is the only good thing to come out of that debacle. They retained a connection that formed in the face of adversity, and Karth occasionally finds himself pondering just why it is that she's on his mind so much..
- Thel Vaan - Karth's deceased master was a stern, wizened taskmaster. Despite the initial rockiness of their master/student relationship, Karth soon developed a fondness for the old Kel Dor that endured up until his death. Due to the events at Bellassa, Thel Vaan was lost to the Order and to De'Qora, who harbors a tremendous sense of guilt over what occurred. It's a wound that's still open, and refuses to shut entirely. Try as he might, Karth can't put his master's death behind him, nor admit to himself that what happened wasn't his fault, and there was little he could have done.

Special Ability: Mind-Wall - Karth's substantial skill as a telepath has led to him developing a custom technique of his own. Mind-Wall works much like a flashburn; the main difference being that De'Qora is able to trigger and erect memory-barriers in the mind of another sentient being. His work as an investigator often has dire consequences for the unsuspecting, and in so doing he (at least in his mind) spares them from traumatic or damaging memories. This ability is not yet mastered, it can be ruined quite easily.
