Wish I at least had a hologram of my worst enemy, a senile computer and the product of my pet cat's evolution to keep me company in here..

Watching tales of the open seas with Mr Midshipman Hornblower as my stalwart companion is all that keeps me company on this lonely board today.

It's okay I've run out of Hornblower, because I have a British Napoleonic legend on land to watch too. The Adventures of good old Dick Sharpe, they'll keep me busy another 24 hours or so.

Seriously though, noone online even on Messenger? What causes this (coincidence I suppose; I googled if there were public holidays stateside!)!? The war this series is set in is a fun one...

Well, the bomb has clearly dropped, or the NSA finally caught up with all you lowlives.

So, I'm going to take a moment to recap some of my most memorable moments from our long and ongoing game.

In no particular order:

  • The Havocite Counter-Revolution - Attempting to unseat my revolution a decade earlier, it never really got off the ground, this is the only time I've actually had to execute a character, and it was with a sad shake of the head by the Justice of the Peace that the act was done, a solemn occasion by all accounts, remembered by the phrase "You gone wrong boy."
  • The Blockades of Acherin, Chandaar, Deralia, Parein II, Chuzalla, Aeeq I and Aeeq II with its well documented aftermath (I'm sure there's others I've missed out)
  • The Battle of Vjun (which lingered on for about 9 months due to Mr Park's internet problems!), followed some years later by a coup lead by a Ribaldequin Leiro (Oriel in disguise!) who took over Deralia and kept Emperor Park in an electric cage for circa 9 years, before he was released and Tried by the Procurator of Justice for failing during the Vjun Campaign.
  • The short lived Volus drama, which spawned a whole chain of Capital Ship Acts after Volus produced a rather huge warship.

I've got more, but I tire for now. Carl's arrival and baptism of fire are worth a mention too.

Jace is still on vacation, and I have been sucked down the black hole of an abyss that is the final weeks of holiday shopping in the US. I can't really speak for anyone else.

And Red Dwarf is the best thing ever.

Hard to imagine for an American kid, but I was raised on that show by my stepmother... until she went crazy.

I'm on a shuttle on my way back home. Turns out I had no internet whatsoever. But I return with a USB drive filled with the motherlode of RP archives from AGW, AGD, and even an encyclopedia of SithJedi.Net (for those of you who remember those dark, primordial days of RP). Including this shocking revelation: Vjun could have gone either way, even right up to the end. Karth may be interested to know I also have apparently every Aphelion chat transcript there ever was. And other good stuff.

Hopefully I won't be detained for 9 hours at SFO for information smuggling and have my USB drive confiscated as they do in Britain.

P.S. Jaron, you were a closet Pellinore fan all this time?
