| Fair enough, fair enough. No more throwback designs from me from here on out. I promise.
That being said...
1) I replaced the image.
2) To fit the image, I dropped 2x batteries (8x cannons) and re-added 10x laser cannons.
3) If I may ask, what can be done to bring the fighters more in line? They aren't designed for widespread use and would only see use as the Arkanian Legacy II's personal defense craft, as befitting corporate defense vehicles.

| I think the eight "Omnidirectional" laser cannons is a bit excessive. It means that assuming it is firing forward at one craft, the other eight could engage most of a squadron..
2 Ion Cannons or 3 Laser Cannons
and
4 Point Defense Blaster Cannons or 1 Quadlaser
and possibly if you can justify it
1 Energy Torpedo Launcher (10 Torpedoes)

| Sorry, you may have missed the edit. I dropped it to 4x omnidirectional laser cannons and 2x forward-firing ion cannons. However, I am willing to drop the 2x ion cannons.
As a note, energy torpedoes recharge and don't have a 'launch cap.'

| 4 Point Defense Laser Cannons (left, right, front, rear? Omnidirectional makes me uncomfortable as it implies you can fire all these lasers in any direction irrespective of your travel direction which is quite a perk), assuming each of these has a traverse 90 on any given axis then youve got 1 laser cannon any direction. Plus then the Ions forward?

| Where are you getting point defense laser cannons? It's just... laser cannons.
Well, obviously I can take off the ion cannons forward, leaving it with only the 4x omnidirectional laser cannons. Now, granted, by 'omnidirectional' I intend to imply that each cannon (mounted in a small ball-type mount) can fire in multiple arcs. With two mounted on the ventral surface and two on the dorsal, it does give a wide range of fire, but by no means is a perfect defense. It still has blind spots, as you can see from the design of the ship.
Now, granted, I can go back and redo the armament to make it a heavy assault fighter as I originally intended, but I just thought this would be an interesting idea instead.
