| Just for official purposes (as many ships are listed with say "10 Turbolaser Batteries") what number do we want to settle on for being the standard?
Early Modern Artillery Batteries in the real world were usually between 4 and 12 guns.
I think either 4 or 6 guns would be a good number to apply when "battery" is listed. The only source we have for a number of barrels on a Turbolaser Battery (although this is a single emplacement named a battery, not a "battery of guns") is the HX.6 Turbolaser Battery, which has six actual turbolasers which fire alternately.
Four or Six, I leave it up to management but I'd like to get an answer if you please.

| My call on this is stating four to six guns, meaning that a person can have a battery of four, five or six, though not to exceed eight cannons in one battery. It allows a little bit of leeway and as such, players who build ships must remember to list how many guns they have per battery.

| It's a bit of a moot point I think because I won't vote to approve anything with terminology as vague as "battery." In every such case I'd no doubt insist on quantifying how many guns we're talking about (indeed, I've done so on one request already). People are free to use the term "battery," of course, but it would save time on requests if they also specify how many guns they're referring to.
