I hope your fall from grace is much exaggerated and the rumours of substance abuse, alcoholism, siring a child by a Dantoonian, killing your, or you being assassinated by some secret model of Trade Federation Assassin droid, although I should hasten to add it was a Mr Azameen of some tiny shipping company who's wishful fantasy it is that the Trade Federation would ever consider owning such irrevocably nasty weapons. Senator Cynum also reported you were rumoured to have been found both dead and/or in flagrante delicto as the old tongue put it...
If this odd behaviour has been caused by a spice problem I will personally put you in the best rehabilitation Centers in the Galaxy, if a sexual or egotistical breakdown as men often suffer around your age "A crisis of the middle age" has been known to cause psychosis in humans under immense stress. Perhaps we could get the best Doctors?
Please tell me you're hale hearty and following the law and just have gone camping or on a force meditation course with some reclusive philosophical group.

I must say that since I have dropped out of the media's eye, reports of my whereabouts and actions have been greatly exaggerated and speculated upon. However, suffice to say I have found my way into a minor political spot on a different world, and while it is my intent to one day win its spot as senator, I have much work to do and a long way to go. I can, however, assure you that I am safe and well.

| Look. I've really tried to support you here where noone else has been forthcoming in doing so. I am now trying to argue each day that you shouldn't immediately lose your job because it's the clear opinion of the members of my Senatorial Council... Call me a fool, but I don't take any enjoyment from you being bullied or any being indeed, or derided behind their backs, but the fact is while their rumours spreading wherever a spacer docks about the great eccentric Senator who fled with millions of credits... the right decision would be to dismiss you as Economics Minister and perhaps force you to undergo a psychiatric evaluation for this escapade.. I've told them I'll give you week to be back at your office; to the hour.
Then will regretfully have to dismiss you and no doubt Senator Pryce slightly dubious Committee will take serious interest in your present affairs and may well throw a load of neglect of duty charges at you and see what they can make stick (not what I would like to see happen to a new and promising Minister..

It would be appreciated, in confidence, if you could tell me where exactly you are so I can send a Republic Judicial escort for you (and ideally bring you home). You're a man known to have access to hundreds of millions (according to rumour, I don't know the details of your financial affairs) of credits. There are a hundred million beings who would take your life without evenhaving a second thought for that sort of cash, especially in the Outer Rim or Mid Rim which while thanks to the TDF and an extent the Judicials they are well guarded on the spacelanes, many have little or no local law enforcement except perhaps a drunken town watchman with a shock prod.
I give you my word the location will be kept between you and I, and the unit sent can guard you from a distance if you prefer, just other faces in the crowd if you don't want true protection provided by the Republic Blue Uniform and the respect it commands to lowlives, second only to the TDF in recent years, except people fear the Judicials more still I think, kill a TDF squad and they have to respect the locals laws and can't call in the Order of the Jedi Knights to totally destroy them....
Even if I am forced to remove your Ministry, you'll still have my respect and amity as you did when you were with the Trade Federation and now since. I am sure you're probably just doing anonymous charity work or something but I urge you to complete your task whatever or wherever it is return to the Galactic City promptly. | You do raise a valid point, Chancellor. I'd not want to be seen not doing my duty as Minister of Economics. While it is a prestigious position, I'm afraid that with all the upheavals in my life, I would be unable to do so properly or effectively and as such, I tender my immediate resignation so that a better candidate may be selected to replace me and carry on the position for the Republic.
While I have no doubt that the Judicial Forces would make apt protectors, they're quite unneeded, and I aim to stay quite far from the Trade Federation and its multitude. I do not believe we parted on the best of terms, but that is wholly another, private matter. As I mentioned, you may rest assured that I am in good health and still intending to continue my political career in the months to come. With any luck, you will have the full story soon enough.
