I had hoped that our mutual interest and agreement in environmental and education policy would have lead to your support. I am saddened that you felt your support needed to go elsewhere. I am concerned that Senator Lekpin has become a bit of a political target for several factions within the Senate, especially after the Senex-Juvex fiasco, and will not garner much, if any, support within the Senate at this time. I had hoped to see you supporting myself, if one is allowed to be selfish, but you are a free being, and I honor your right to choose.

| I do appreciate your notice of my right to choose, Senator. Your education and environmental policies do interest me a great deal, it is true. But this was something I felt only right to do. There are things I worry about, certainly, but I have to follow my heart here. Unfortunately, I think we all know how this election will turn out...let us hope to be pleasantly surprised.
Until then, I hope that we are able to work together in the future.
