I have been shocked and appalled since I took the seat as Duke of the Hegemony at the sheer horror of the Inquisitorial Judge system and the practice of brutal physical mutilation as pnishment
Such things are no longer to be permitted under my Dukedom, there will be a rule of innocent until proven guilty, the Republic standard of adversarial Judicial process and penalties will not include disfigurement.
With this barbaric element of the Hegemony's past behind it we can advance into a better future for all our citizens.
