Senator Finbar,

Now that I'm back on my feet and I've had time to think, I have an idea I'd like to run past you. The first is an aquatic starship of cruiser size, designed to be totally amphibious. The second is a lightly armed mining submersible for utilization on aquatic worlds. Please contact me when you are able for the discussion of the designs. While I can't yet speak for Lorrd Engineering's part in these designs, my current head of the company, Tarin Mako, can actually solidify deals, at least until the arms ban is lifted.

I am aware that Mon Calamari Shipyards makes a number of vessels of renown. However, I was actually proposing a joint venture between Lorrd Engineering and Mon Calamari Shipyards. I present the following design for your approval:

1x Heavy burst-fire laser cannon (turreted, dorsal bow)

6x Retractable quad laser cannon (turreted, three port ventral wing, three starboard ventral wing, turrets must be retracted when submerged)

As you may see, Senator, this design is not meant to replace any of the current Mon Calamari vessels, but rather to supplement the heavier ships with a lighter, faster one. Easily capable of being utilized as a patrol craft, it balances lighter gun firepower with heavier torpedo loads, while also sustaining the ability to protect from faster, smaller raiding craft. While not suitable for a sole combat role against larger enemies, its speed and stopping power, along with a moderate crew compliment and the ability to land on any planet with sufficient water, make it a very versatile craft.
