| Dear Senator, I beg your aid
My grandfather was on the mission where three scouts died during our claim of Drongar. It may not be much but from a people such as mine whos faces are constantly trodden into the ground. We've been a race which has been in peonage and the one asset we have are the claims made across the Galaxy (recognized by the Hutts) from our many expeditions.
Why can the humans take our worlds, Senator Finbar? We have reached equilibrium with the Hutts and indeed now I believe we even have amity and understanding, but why is it that humans simply laugh and scoff at us for trying to put together assets so that in future the Nikto race may better itself.
Help us. I beg you. In our time of need, or else I fear every world we discovered, mapped and charted, then claimed, will be eaten up by human greed for resources legitimized on the basis "we didn't file a claim with the Republic"... Why should we have those 127 years ago. The Republic barely influenced the Outer Rim the 127 years ago we discovered Drongar, the only effective government out there was the Hutts, and its to them we registered our discovery.
Now I admit, the Republic has become a force once again in these outer fringes of the Outer Rim. But they cannot ex-post-facto declare our claim null and allow humans to infest a delicate and beautiful (if deadly) ecosystem which we don't believe should be commercially exploited...
Help us Senator Finbar, I beg of you.
Emissary T. Uassa

| Dear Emissary Uassa,
I have nothing but sympathy for the heroic but tragic history of the Nikto. I do not want to see Drongar become yet another episode in that tragedy. The Mon Calamari Council has not yet adopted a position on the Lorrdian and Nikto claims to Drongar, but you have my assurance that I am doing everything in my power to influence the Council to endorse the Nikto claim. I have persuaded the Council to dispatch Mon Calamari vessels to Drongar to guarantee the planet remains common land until the claims dispute is resolved. It is my opinion that the Nikto have a far more compelling claim to Drongar than does Lorrd, and I intend to argue this fact before the Galactic Senate. You have a friend in the Mon Calamari people, Mr. Uassa. Don't give up hope.
Sincerely,
Finbar Senator of Mon Calamari Space

| Dear Senator Finbar,
The Nikto are a people who have connections in this area going back generations. We have ever been a race that has stood in the shadow of others and while we have improved our relations with the Hutts of late. Indeed there is progress toward my world having it's own independent state free of Hutt Hegemony, that I hope will be fruitful; sadly, we need to be able to back our political awareness with credits in order to buy our world's sovereignty; we would not have it any other way, odd as it may sound. We believe our sovereignty to be property and we would buy our sovereignty back just as we lost it in the distant past. We require assets to do this; Drongar's claim was one of our assets, as you believe in the legitimacy of our claim; would you consider leasing it from us?
In return for say, political and administrative support for the Nikto people, the payment of an annual fee, we would be prepared to lease on a renewable basis.. We've been offered a very reasonable settlement by various Core Worlds who would buy the claim outright and then assert it militarily against Lorrd, but we would sooner see a more guaranteed peaceful outcome.
The notion that we are still slaves to the Hutts is fallacious, its been thousands of years since we were a "slave race" and as you'll be aware the Nikto trade and explore across the Galaxy.
Emissary T. Uassa
