Vanden,

You don't know me, and I don't know you. It's probably better that way, and I'll spare you the rhetoric between our ideological differences. I represent a certain powerful man who has made the news as of late, and would greatly prefer to remain out of it further. To that end, and as there are some difficulties on mine, I have a business question for you. How much influence do you have with MandalMotors at this time? Is it enough that if certain pieces to build a ship came your way, that they'd be able to build it, on the quiet, mind you. I have the credits; more than you'll need. This is a quality project I want built. One-of-a-kind, piece of art me'sen, you understand?

Let me know what you can do.

Representative Vanden,

Or Artemis, if I may be so bold?

I hope you don't object to my good associate, Mr. Mako, contacting you while I was finishing up that nasty little business about the Senex Sector. I'm still interested in procuring the services of MandalMotors in a certain regard, for a very unique, very expensive, one-of-a-kind vessel. A dream, you might say. If you're amenable to this, as well as a few other things, contact me.

Regards,

Of course, Stark would wait for Vanden's response. Being able to speak with the leader of the Mandalorians was no easy feat, after all.

And he waited a bit longer.

Dear Mr. Stark,

You should be aware that "Mr. Mako" (he didn't identify himself when he contacted me), though he may be a "good associate," is not a good spokesman for you, Mr. Stark. His use of Mando'a can be forgiven as ignorance of its subversive nature in New Mandalorian society. But appearing in Mandalorian armor was presumably some kind of joke, and in rather poor taste, at that. Without knowing who he was or who he represented, he proposed that I influence MandalMotors to build a ship of questionable legality. Considering Mr. Mako's cloak-and-dagger tactics, I'm rather pleasantly surprised that his shadowy benefactor is you, and not some sort of Sith Lord.

That being said, MandalMotors is a fiercely independent company and my influence over it is simply that of a very good customer, not enough to be useful to you. Nor, to be honest, am I especially inclined to be useful to you, Mr. Stark. The Rights of Sentience are very important to the New Mandalorian people, and my Prime Minister's government has joined Senator Terrawin's embargo on Lorrdian arms. I mean you no offense, and perhaps this but a momentary state of affairs, but I'm obliged to respect the will of my people and government.

Sincerely,

Representative Vanden,

My apologies for Mr. Mako. I fear he is an old school traditionalist in some respects. While I bear no ill will for not wishing to purchase our weapons, I fear you mistake my intention. I don't wish to produce a Lorrd Engineering-MandalMotors joint venture. Rather, I would like to supply MandalMotors with several components and a design to build a private yacht for myself. Perhaps this would ease your concerns?

Regards,

Dear Mr. Stark,

That's perfectly well, but I'm afraid the fact remains I don't have any particular influence over MandalMotors. You would be better advised to contact them in Keldabe regarding this matter. I may be personally interested in seeing the final product, however. I'm not satisfied with the Luxury 5000 that I own; it replaced another Luxury 5000 of mine that was shot down some years ago. It brings back bad memories, and I'd rather have another model, one able to withstand attempted sabotage from bucket-headed "True" Mandalorian terrorists.

Sincerely,
