While it is not being made public just yet, His Majesty the King of Naboo's health is failing fairly fast. I am afraid he is in his final battle. As his nephew and only male heir, he has made it known, both in writing in his will and vocally to the council and his advisers, that I am to succeed him.
Your reputation and specific skill set proceeds you and I would like you to come to Naboo to help oversee this transition. I am confident that the people of Naboo will be pleased with my appointment, but I would like to have a contingency plan in place, just in case something should happen.
The other issue that I would like you to see to is my daughter, Ilanah. She is, shall we say, a free-spirited girl and the tabloids love her a little too much. A woman of your poise and class would certainly be a good influence. And perhaps you could make some of her bigger tabloid-esque "issues" disappear.
Please consider journeying to Naboo to at least discuss our options, and we can hammer out the details and sign contracts if you are willing to help us.
