The field office on Lorrd appears to have no leads, and we believe the locals don't either, the waste dumped is a byproduct of all nuclear reactors and of the two thousand the field office captured and checked, they were found to have no identical emission rate that would indicate the "signature" of a given reactor.
This type of waste is handled daily by thousands of companies, standard policy is to fire it into the star of an empty system. The material is so common it cannot all be accounted for and such a quantity hasn't been acquired in bulk by legal means within Republic space by any single buyer in the last decade.
There appears to be little motive and no faction has claimed responsibility. Agents close to the Lorrdians traditional rival, Argazda, suggests they are unaware of any plot originating there.
The ships present were Trandoshan Mercenaries and their ships had no identifying markers except one of the two Dragonboat Freighters has three cargo pods blasted away. I'm going to issue a message to starports requesting they keep their eye out.
At any rate, this matter is too big for the Lorrdian legal system, and extremely confusing, thus I'd like to ask you sign off on assigning the Jedi Order responsibility for the investigation. In the meantime I will monitor the reports of the Judicials in the field.Added (25 January 14, 9:32 AM)

One more request Chancellor, off the record. I'd like to put another... special asset.. of the Republic, on this one. Since thwarting that unknown species planning to invade from wild space he's been seconded to the Test Pilot Center of the Judicial Forces, no need to make a public announcement or inform the Jedi, but a man like Ace Pellenore is who we need for a dastardly and mysterious attack such as this.
The criminals got a two day head start on him, which is less than a sporting lead for the runners but I'm sure he will waive pleasantries. Pellenore's got friends in every city and starport from here to the edge of the Galaxy, he speaks a dozen languages, knows every local custom, he'll blend in, disappear, then appear with the rascals clapped in irons. With any luck, he'll collar them in a week, if he's not already on the trail, which could mean it's a hell of a lot sooner.
