I write to you representing the ancient and honourable House of Hax, holding a number of worlds as I do, I seek to be able to export my worlds surplus but the Republic market is a closed door to Senex products due to some ancient bureaucratic nonsense. If the Baobab Merchant Fleet would be willing to set up a route to Osmani from Manda. We would pay twice Trade Federation rates for this route to be run, I repeat that, twice Trade Federation rates.
I'll set up an import export business on your world to allow the products to be transferred through your market (outside the writ of Senate law) and so be further transferrable into the Republic via your worlds own standard trade lanes to their worlds.
We're giving you a generous offer, we're offering good pay and you're not breaking the law, I hope you will consider my proposal for a contract.

Your offer is a most appealing one, however due to the tensions between the Senex Sector and the Galactic Republic, we are hesitant to fully conclude with terms to being such operations. The Most Serene Republic of Manda is one that prides itself upon neutrality and would not desire to raise or bring tensions between itself and the Galactic Republic and likewise between itself and the Senex Sector and its Sister Sector.
If such a proposal is to work, it must be fully framed between our two governmental entities in such a way as to ensure that the law of not only the Most Serene Republic of Manda as set forth by its citizens is followed, yet as well as the laws of the Galactic Republic and Senex Sectors to ensure that all parties are in the right and that no parties feel wronged, nor slighted to take actions against the other. This however may require a great deal of correspondence between one another to ensure that all areas are covered and to prevent any such gray areas that could be exploited upon.

It is fortunate that you can't agree to my proposal, because I have already secured a trade deal at a rate less generous than the one I offered you. You call yourself neutral but you side with the mob. I didn't choose to be born into this body any more than you did into yours, and to discriminate against a generous offer just because I am from a certain species is no better than turning aside an alien from your store.
Prejudice, Merchant, that is what you are showing, arbitrary prejudice. I was born into the position I have and I am a good and kind ruler, I am called a slave owner by arrogant Corporate Quintillionaires and high flying politicians. But I ask you, how much more ethical are their labour systems? Neimoidian culture where the children are literally expected to eat their brothers and sisters, Mandalorian culture where children are forced to be killers, the Jedi who steal babies and indoctrinate them in religion, they are all regrettable realities but they are accepted.
The Galactic Market is innately abusive to those at the bottom. Workers are made to work unreasonable hours for little or no salary, housing or care. Beings in many billions of jobs are paid subsistence wages or less, meaning they can never climb financially and often are a burden upon the state. Children starve and are abandoned on the streets of Coruscant because their parents can't afford to feed them. On Eriadu labourers work in thick carcinogenic fumes with no safety equipment, sixteen hour shifts I have heard of fusion welders working... When they develop cancers or injuries, does Eriadu or their employer help them? No. They are left to die.
I rule worlds, and many of the beings on my worlds are slaves. Some of those are incapable of anything but being slaves thanks to my ancestor's evil genetic alteration of their labourers to make them more docile. But able to be free or not, I treat them lovingly as I would my children. And if they work hard and have both the inclination and mental ability to be free, they are able to use the money they save to buy their freedom. I pity the wretches genetically programmed to be dull and fear not to be slaves, but they are well cared for like I would anyone in my power and I try to help them maximize the potential that they have.
Here's a few facts:
- The average servant in my domain is better nourished, healthier and happier than the average of the Coruscant Labourer.
- House Hax guarantees medical and welfare support from cradle to grave for it's servants. On Humbarine if you lose your leg in an accident, does your employer support you for life, and your family? No. If one of my people loses a limb I not only provide the treatment, a cash sum and rehabilitation, I also support their families to a high standard and seek labour for them in a position which is possible with the limb excised.
- None of my people are forced to work more than eight hours a day for my own costs outlaid in caring for them, clothing and housing each. The rest of their day they are free to pursue hobbies, study, socialize, rest or grow their own crops (each is granted an allotment for this on request, for no charge), if they wish to keep working for some more hours, they're allowed to do so, but every credit that they produce goes into their own pocket. There are two days of rest weekly, in which they are also free to work at whatever they choose for profit or pleasure. They earn, and they can spend, either on their own freedom or whatever goods they want. What is the point of telling you this? The message to take is that on my worlds the slaves are more free to have a happy and healthy life than they would be doing the same work as "free" labourers.
- I have worked alongside my people in the fields and mills. My father made me work for the first five years of my adult life as a labourer on a plantation. I understand my people as a result, I have been one of them. How many CEOs of Conglomerates ever did the same? How many spoiled young men each day inherit fortunes built upon the coercion of others by an anti-human "free" labour system.
A Technician on Corellia once made a comment that has stuck with me; "Only in our dreams are we free. The rest of the time we need wages." and it is true, without credits in these "free" economies freedom equates only to the freedom to starve. The average rate of depression and suicide is vastly lower than in the Republic, tell me, why if my system is evil, my people are happier than the good one?
You see me as some evil oppressor. But that is how you were brought up. You were brought up on small lies, Life Day, Angels etc. Practice so you can believe in the big lies that surround you each day. Take the universe and grind it down into the finest powder and sieve it through the finest sieve then show me one atom of Freedom, one molecule of what you call Justice.
I work to create happiness for my people, and those who crush the heads of the poor daily sneer at me and call me Slavemaster and Barbarian. I ask you, how can any system with a free market ever result in workers not being paid less than their work is worth, that market demands profit, it is like a hungry beast and it literally takes the food from the children of the poor, for profit.
My worlds are in biological equilibrium, they are not overexploited, the air is not polluted with noxious fumes. I strive to create an agrarian utopia, or as close as is possible, but doing what I can to maximise my people's health and happiness; and the fat businessmen of the Core chuckle at the notion over the brandy as their factories destroy ecosystems, spread cancers, poison food and make them money.
The Freedom you value so highly is just a word, it has no meaning other than that you are alone in the universe, it is taught that you should compete and push aside competition to win. I believe in working with the competition to share the prize, and sharing with those who fell along the way.
